The US` healthcare system is one of those strange contradictions: the more you spend on it, the worse it gets!

I`m struck by how well the UK is ranked considering the per capita spend, especially as our media is full of horror stories about how poor the NHS is and how its constantly in crisis!

    Hardly a newsflash!

Capitalism is a good thing in general, but not when it comes to healthcare which should be just as much a tax-supported nationalized collective good as is national defense or transportation infrastructure.

It comes from The Commonwealth Fund

    http://www.commonwealthfund.org/publications/fund-reports/2014/jun/mirror-mirror

"The Commonwealth Fund is a private foundation that aims to promote a high performing health care system that achieves better access, improved quality, and greater efficiency, particularly for society's most vulnerable, including low-income people, the uninsured, minority Americans, young children, and elderly adults.

The Fund carries out this mandate by supporting independent research on health care issues and making grants to improve health care practice and policy. An international program in health policy is designed to stimulate innovative policies and practices in the United States and other industrialized countries."

The guy who keeps fraudulently misusing other people's pictures and opening new sock accounts presumes to lecture us on impartiality and integrity. No irony there then.
