Hey gang....whats up with pics of members that have the face all fuzzed/blured, or blacked out? They dont seem to have a problem showing their worked out bodies and go on and on about how much they hit the gym and how ripped they are and yet they dont have the balls to show their face? Who are they hidding from if they are positng here? Just wondering...

Would that be considered "straight acting" behavior? icon_rolleyes.gif

This is a variation on the headless profile picture theme
It still surprises me that guys are still afraid to show their faces on a gay site

I think my pics are a little blurry. Doesn’t seem to matter what camera or cam I use they still come out a bit blurred..don’t do it on purpose though. Maybe I look a bit blurry in person?

I think people are afraid to show that they haven't been able to get rid of the ever-so-difficult-to-tone neck fat. It's a embarrassing.

If I wanted to know why "Joe Blurryface" had a blurry picture, I would email him directly and ask him. Bypass all the conjecture and get it straight from the horse's mouth...so to speak. Hey! It's a blurry picture. It could be a horse.

I lose interest in obscured photos and their respective owners regardless of the reason.

I am new here and I do plan to put a photo on my profile. A real one of me and not a photo I snagged from the Internet. icon_wink.gif I have seen members with high post counts without a photo. Why do you think that is? Are there a lot of guys still in the closet so deep they are afraid to post a photo?

Skytran, my guess is the guys you're talking about were once active members who have since left the site... and deleted their pics.

    But "why" headless shots?

Headless shots are not much use to anyone who may otherwise steal/post them. If I am interested in 'proving' myself to anyone, I can easily send the whole picture. For me, it's a matter of discretion on a very public site. I'm single, out, confident guy.

Interesting what people read into it. Right? icon_cool.gif

I can understand people want to be discrete but this ia a gay site for guys who are into fitness...not that many out there who would show up here, very narrow audiance if you ask me. And if you dont want for others to know, then dont have a pic at all. It seems unfair for the rest who go through the trouble to make great profiles and you really get to know them and then we have all these headless, fuzzy, blocked bodies going around trying to hide when in reality they want to be seen....

If I don't see a face and eyes, mentally I don't even consider them a member. I totally ignore it.

I might accidentally reply to a faceless person in the forums, but that's it. What gets me is that I clearly put in my profile that I don't respond to faceless guys, yet I still get trolls trying to hit me up for this or that. Makes me think of that Idaho senator. CREEPY.

I was told that my pictures were "fake" I've been told that if you don't have a digital camera your posted shots wont be the best. I have my Dad's SLR Minolta and you can see the shitty results I get. Maybe I should break down and buy a decent digital gadget. I've also been told that I don't know how to dress. To which I can only reply if you dont like what you see move on Charlie. So headless shots, fuzzy pictures, poor attire awfully picky people who are essentially here to pick out a piece of meat!

I can understand why guys who are lookng for friendships, dates, or relationaships would have an interest in seeing a clear facial picture, and that's perfectly OK. But some of us are not looking for anything other than workout advice (and, in my case, a place to shoot off my mouth) and so torso shots, blurred faces, etc., are perfectly fine.
