Oh dear. One Fox's little heroes turns out to be a... lying piece of scum. I wonder if they'll take Rove down with him.

No, Rove is smarter & slipperier than the rest of them. He'll have covered his tracks. And not an elected office holder. Proving criminal wrongdoing might be a lot harder with him.

We'll see. But Rove's name is part of the investigation. And I only know of one step following a prosecutor's announcement of a "criminal scheme", and that's a "criminal conspiracy". We might want to buy lots of popcorn for this one icon_biggrin.gif

Either that, or it'll fizzle out. I'm not optimistic that either Walker or Rove will ever pay for their crimes.

And let us hope to see a job very well done.

I'm hoping for a very "Ken Starr, Independent Counsel" kind of performance. A nice long, drawn-out kind of performance.

The prosecutors have already been stalled twice, by a corrupt Republican Federal judge named Randa. It took the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals to get things going again, but only partially.

Randa ordered all the evidence against Walker destroyed, very unusual when a case is still in appeal. I believe evidence still exists, however. Randa has received free trips and perks from the very same Right Wing groups that brought the suit to throw out the case the prosecutors have brought. Legal groups agree Randa should recuse himself (if not just proceed directly to jail), but that ain't likely.

So this case is very corrupt, and anything can happen. The current Republican mantra is that this is a "Democratic political witch hunt by out of control prosecutors", despite the prosecutorial team being a bi-partisan group of Republicans & Democrats. But the idea is to wear down the prosecutors, in the face of public opposition Republicans are drumming up, and from the obstacles brought by pro-Walker Judge Randa.

    Bad time for Republican governors:

    http://www.salon.com/2014/06/19/scandals_heat_up_for_scott_walker_and_chris_christie/

Scandals heat up for Scott Walker and Chris Christie

Investigators put Walker at the center of a "criminal scheme," and prosecutors close in on Christie

"In Walker’s case, prosecutors say that have emails from Walker – including one to Karl Rove – explaining how the coordination between the campaign and conservative interest groups would work."

Walker left a trail. He's toast.

Love Walker and everything he has done to clean up the state. Makes me proud to live here. I now know we have a clean Government for a change that works for the taxpayers instead of the special interest groups under the corrupt Doyle administration.

I'm not talking about OUR legal system, I'm talking about the court of public opinion on this site.

But the "court of public opinion" has nothing to do with his being "guilty". As far as I can tell, he's still walking around a free man, right???

Politifact says:"Wisconsin's latest jobs report moved sharply in the wrong direction -- especially when it comes to Gov. Scott Walker's top campaign promise."

Love Walker all you need but he's not doing a good job for Wisconsin.

NorthwestBoy1980 saidThe Democrats failed to have him removed via recall elections so now they're trying to trump up charges to get him removed. How much lower can they go?
You haven't seen nothing yet. The EXTREMIST LIBERAL HENS in the democratic party are desperate to hold onto power in Washington and will do anything to accomplish that goal even if it means trumping up charges and distorting the truth. However, the republicans especially the NARROW MINDED BIBLE THUMPING SCREWBALLS are just as rotten and vindictive. So both political parties stink like shiticon_mad.gif

You aren't very smart. This case has already been thoroughly adjudicated. This whole dustup is after-the-fact maneuvering by the prosecutors.

"The scope of the criminal scheme UNDER investigation "IS expansive," Schmitz wrote. "It INCLUDES criminal violations of multiple elections laws, including violations of Filing a False Campaign Report or Statement and Conspiracy to File a False Campaign Report or Statement."

No, I'm not very smart. I know what a present tense is, though.
