Perhaps you remember this story from a while back. A lesbian couple gets shot in Texas, one dead, the other surviving but partially disabled.

No suspects, no arrests. A mystery. But now, an arrest after nearly 2 years.

I'm skeptical these charges will hold in Texas, and result in a successful prosecution before a jury. But we'll see.

He will be convicted, it is Texas after all. They'd string up anyone who they find guilty. Lesbian or not, their version of equal civil rights.

My question is, will they find him guilty?

Considering Texas loves to execute people, this is the perfect excuse. They'll just ignore the gay thing.

Well, he's ruined several lives now, including his own.

Hmmm, what are the odds that he's a product of a right-wing "Christian" upbringing, where he was brainwashed for years by anti-gay conservative parents.
His redneck family should be dragged into jail too.

I wouldn't bank on that if I were you. Fortunately the bogus but ever-popular "gay panic defense" doesn't apply here. And murder is murder. So he'll be at the very least locked up for a long time once convicted.

I wish the story explained how they figured he was the suspect.

Well, the more "macho" the man (and nobody thinks themselves more macho than Texas men) the more they get turned on by images of woman-on-woman sex. It forms a big part of straight male porn.

Lesbians often get a pass from straight men that gay men don't get. On top of which, there's the belief among many that having straight sex with a "good man" will get rid of those lesbian tendencies, which are just a temporary quirk. They'll forget about wearing male clothes & hairstyles and dress like proper ladies in the kitchen back home, obediently tending to her husband and kids.

In fact, this may turn out to be no more than a simple case of attempted rape, where the guy didn't even know these 2 were lesbian. Male rapists regularly kill their victims, especially if they resist.

The lesbian aspect is a wild card, depending on how the evidence develops. Whether the suspect confesses and explains his actions, and whether the surviving victim has remembered anything of that night. I believe she originally did not. If their orientation played no part, then the court may suppress that information from the trial testimony.

He's charged with aggravated sexual assault on top of murder??? So it's probably what ArtDeco said, perhaps they (or one of them) resisted a rape.

The way the Chappa girl recovered reads like a horror story.

"His wife faces charges of tampering with evidence." I wonder what she did. Clean blood from his clothes? What a pair of vermin. The husband needs to be raped and shot. The wife needs to go to jail for 25+ years.

What kind of fucking wife stands by her husband when he's accused of such a heinous crime? I guess the kind of woman who would marry a man like this in the first place.
