I'm having a harder time than what seems reasonable for my age and where I live meeting quality guys to date.... which makes me worry it might be either something about me or that I should lower my standards.
Granted maybe I'm not putting myself out there as much as I should also but I know it's summertime and the amount of guys looking for dates goes up around this time of year. I've been going to LGBT oriented meetups, going to cafes, bookstores, honing my profile on OkCupid, and even dipped my toes in Grindr since I notice a fair portion of guys are writing profiles that you'd find on online dating sites. Bars aren't always the best place to meet quality LTR oriented guys it seems though.
I'm thinking of joining a club or local organization but there aren't many free ones.
It's easy to meet guys but I'm seeking LTR oriented quality guys. In a major gay mecca like NYC you'd think there'd be more of them... Maybe I should instead focus on making new friends and from that a guy will want to be more like what happened with my former BF? Any advice?
