see min 40:30. I was down there somewhere.

Cruise goes as far south as 8 mile. Detroit police chief wants to bring it all the way down to Grand Circus or to Jefferson and the Detroit River. From the looks of traffic at min 40:30, we can use the extra eight miles.

I never figured why it doesn't go right downtown. It's a nightmare trying to exit off 696 etc into RO let alone find a place to park.

I can never get as far down as Duggan's unless I want to walk a couple of miles. Once the repurposing of the Packard plant is really underway, that will really start generating big interest in looking at downtown and midtown. Then I think for sure we'll see the cruise extended to at least to Grand Circus if not Jefferson (Ren Center) and the river.

On cruise day I go stationary and do the Old Woodward show then walk as far south as I can. Years I don't show, I park in the public garage in Birmingham about four blocks east of Old Woodward just south of Maple on Chester. Never had a problem. Cheap too.
