Yay, Summer is here. Big Brother 16 just premiered last night and will continue tonight with the rest of the introduction of the house guests. Lol, I hope it will be a great season this year comparing to last year when the house was filled with Racism and Bitchy cat fights. (16 new casts) below.

So Far, I like Cody, the Italian-American guy from New Jersey and the DJ girl (Paola). Ariana Grande's older brother Frankie Grande is also on here. He's so flaming. LOL

(BTW, I almost audition for this show back in early April in LA, but reading their too long list of requirements and maybe eating peanut butter/jelly too much Lol. I passed).

So far Donny seems the most authentic player, and maybe even Nicole.

What sucks about this season is that 10 of the 16 house guests were "recruited" only 2 weeks ago. Again, they are only brought into the house to make good tv and not game play.

^^ Yeah that guy with the beard from N. Carolina. Lol, I didn't know that about the recruiting process. I saw the stages you have to go through (interviews), that's why most people drop out? Lol.

    - Cody Calafiore, the guy is Hot, sexy.
    - DJ Paola, she reminds me of Christina Aguilera when she speaks.
    - Frankie Grande, Lol, Pink Hair
    - Urg, no racism this year please.

    That HoH twist is complicated!

I need clarification: If the HoH's team wins, then that HoH goes up on the chopping block with the two who didn't win, making it a 3 person chopping block?

Does anyone in the house know that the guy with pink hair is Ariana Grande's brother or is that a secret...

Frankie says he's going to keep it a secret that that pop star is his sister.

Most of the HouseGuests this year are "recruits" which means that the casting department didn't get the specific types that they were looking for in normal auditions and so went looking for those specific types in LA and cast them. It's not because people didn't audition but because the specific roles that Big Brother wants to fill (the super hot/athletic guy, the bitchy girl, etc.) didn't audition.

There is already some homophobia and racism going on: Caleb has posted a LOT of homophobic things on his facebook and has called Obama a "Muslim monkey" and other such things... :/

Devin looks like The Rock, Dwayne Johnson. Heartbreaker that one.

2 people will be HOH, then they compete for the ultimate HoH, then that HoH will nominate 3 people including the previous won HoH???? I'm confused too, wait for Julie to clarify.icon_cool.gif

Should be interesting to see how quickly Caleb shows his true colours with this current cast.

Can't stand the unemployed guy, whatever his name is. Someone needs to tell him he's not Dr. Will. Same goes for that DJ from New York. She's like a friggin mosquito.

I don't like and would not get along with any of them, they all look a mess and have either boring or horrid personalities

    FAKE

Why is this show still on? To please retarded Americans I guess

First, the two HoHs will each nominate two HGs for eviction. Presumably they will collaborate on the decision to avoid nominating the same people. Then, in the Battle of the Block, the two sets of nominees will compete against each other. The winning pair will be safe and the HoH who nominated them will be dethroned. That HoH will then be eligible to be a replacement nominee if the Power of Veto is used.

I am so excited for this season. I am hoping that it will be better than the previous seasons! I was a little bummed they haven't done all stars season 2. Overall, I think the HGs are a little disappointing but I am enjoying Christine, Donny, Joey and Cody.

I don't know why I watch this show every season, but I guess it's my summer guilty pleasure.

I'm glad they cast someone like Donny. At first glance, you can't help but thing "WTF?!" but he's so entertaining to watch. And the last eps shows that he really is playing the game by playing the hick card.

My biggest complaint every season is the formulaic taping that they do every year. From the "discovering" of the keys (which is so contrived and poorly acted) to making them stare at the memory wall before nominations, I wish they'd change it up year to year. I think I can probably recite the HOH speech from memory: "Part of my duties as Head of Household is to nominate two people for eviction...."

At least I feel like this twist this year is more interesting in that it adds a unique gameplay element. I really feel like Alison Grodner is lazy and uncreative. The "twists" they had in the past, like the twins playing and the exes being in the house, were stupid, lacked originality, and did not add anything to the show. Pandora's Box was always stupid also. I hope they at least give Team America interesting challenges to do.

When they ask America to vote on what the Have Nots will eat, that lacks originality as well. I realize they want to engage the viewer, but give us more interesting things to vote on.

Why do they always have to have a super stereotypical gay guy like Andy and Frankie...

    Anyways Cody... holy shit.

I like Christine a lot so far she has a great personality! The twist is so awesome, I'm excited to see how it all goes out, I like that the weak people are more likely to go home first now!

My prediction of the 4 dominant players are Devin, Christine, Frankie and Amber.

I don't think there is a POV this year. The winning duo acts as the veto.

That was pretty hot, but I would prefer to see Devin in baseball slider shorts.

More hotness from Cody. icon_smile.gif He didn't even audition, he was recruited based on his looks. Lol, like what else is new. He's currently a sales account executive, soccer player, model. icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

I kind of don't like the twist that much. This would create too many nominees and enemies in the house. I just want to see the good old days of 1 HOH, 2 Nominees. Oh well.

No, there WILL be a Veto.

The new format for this season is this:
    - Thursday night show: HoH competition(s?) determine two HoHs.
    - Sunday night show: The two HoHs nominate two people each for the block (for a total of four).
    - Also Sunday night show: Battle of the Block occurs between the two HoHs to determine which noms stand. The losing HoH enters the pool of possible noms, the two noms that de-throned HoH put up are safe for the rest of the week.
    - Wednesday night show: Power of Veto comp. If it is used the HoH can put up the de-throned HoH but not his/her saved noms.

The Battle of the Block completely replaces the dump Have/Have-not comp, thank god.

And about the "rumors" about Caleb being a racist and homophobe... they aren't rumors, they're proven facts. Plenty of people have seen and screengrabed pics of his facebook and Instagram where he says racist and homophobic things. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for him to say that stuff in the house. Not that it would matter since "Big Jeff" has said homophobic things over and over and no one seems to care, lease of all CBS who keeps employing him. :/

    - I just read up on him. Caleb, the Metrosexual cowboy from Tennessee. Lol, he's kinda annoying and playing too strong right off the bat. CBS likes to stir up controversy or something. Like they didn't have enough of Drama last year over Aaryn? I doubt the producers would **remove him because of this. I didn't see Jeff's season, well only bits of it. He came off as just a Dumb Buff Jock. icon_rolleyes.gif

. Side note: I want to see a 3-boys alliance, Devin, Frankie and Cody. They seem to get along. I don't like the El Cuatro (4 females) team. And oh, how did that Unemployed guy Zach? got cast? Lol, he's so annoying and seems Super-Shady. !!!! Is that DJ Paola chick Latina, Asian or Italian? I'm like trying to figure out her ethnicity. icon_wink.gif

Zach got cast because they were hoping he'd be Dr. Will 2.0 . . . unfortunately he's nowhere in Dr. Will's league. He's not even in Dan's league. He doesn't understand that you can be a diabolical genius AFTER you've charmed everyone. Jumping right into the deep end by grilling Frankie like that was extremely dumb. But maybe he'll luck out and not go home and rethink his strategy a bit better.
