I'm thinking he is not gay and is just looking to make a name for himself ... he'll eventually get married to a woman have kids and tell everyone how he concurred the evil within so he can make lots and lots of easy money as a preacher .... there seems to be this big ass flashing neon sign over his head ....

A fair number of straight people with religious callings do this all the time(no sex). This is nothing different. *shrugs*

Good point! I wonder what he would say about that.

I do think that it is sad that he thinks that 'God' does not want him to act on his feelings. He says that he is ok with it but...I don't know...his actions speak otherwise.

What could be a more of a human experience than to act on your natural feelings as long as it is done respectfully.

On the other hand, I'm celibate most of the time, not for religious reasons. It is more of a dislike of hookups, lack of meeting new people in person that I would be interested in, being shy, and just having a lot of other things that I need to take care of.

Well, he believes that he is ok at the moment with his choices and I guess I can take him for his word. But two months from now, his opinion may change.

Personally, I think the missing ingredient here is that he doesn't realize that it's not just about sex. Being gay is about who and how you love. Ell Oh Vee Eee. If he's really gay he'll find this out; the soul of your heart cannot be denied, lol.

owl_bundy saidreal talk, sometimes i wonder WHY these gay media outlets even feed these attention whores and act like they're helping our cause when they're not. what is so significant about this guy basically saying that he's ashamed of his sexual orientation? this is ass backwards. in fact, i think the gay media outlets actually do more damage or set the gay community back 50 years with what they do. they seem to promote the same sea of negativity that so many gay men are already drowning in. more garbage than actual insightful things.

No, he talked earlier about that he had no shame in being gay and thought he would be helpful in exploring his "awkwardness" in the process.

I think he's kind of endearing! I knew young men like him when I was coming out through Dignity, the Gay Catholic Group. One friend went into the priesthood. He seems very transparent and honest to me....not an expert in his field to be sure.
