Usually i try my best to not be loud at the gym. I do the usual grunts and groans when I'm working out... but try not to go overboard.

I also sometimes beat my chest or talk to myself. To get hyped up if I'm going heavy!

Today though... eek. I was about to do 380 on the deadlift! and i was also wearing some of my chains. And i was lifting and grunting so loud... and saying ''fuck it fuck it'' idk those words just came out first.

Then i started doing some weighted push ups. With my chains on, and some dumbbells on my back. I kept screaming ''this isn't shit this isn't shit THIS ISN'T SHIT!!!!!!!!!!'' and i was growling...

And i didn't realize i was saying it very loud... and i saw some people run back upstairs. I felt pretty bad afterwords! and incredibly embarrassed...

I really don't know why i was acting so damn crazy icon_lol.gif i know it's good to let out a little aggression when working out. But that was way too much.

Anyone else ever embarrassed themselves at the gym like that? icon_smile.gif

that shit may be embarrassing for you but that shit is pure comedy for me. the funniest moment is when the gym is packed with people but is quiet where everyone is doing what they're doing yet there's that one guy that's going hammertime and he starts grunting hard as hell..

Oh man! i LOVE CT! and yes... i pulled a CT today no doubt. I also have one of his ''will you be beast or bitch'' shirts icon_lol.gif

    We've all been there.

Back in college, I was hitting my first heavy set of squats. Jumped straight to 405 after a few light warmup sets (stupid, but I did it all the time). Unbeknownst to me, someone had applied WD-40 to the bar, and I didn't use clips. It was like a teeter-totter, first the left plate slid off then the right, left, right, left, right, etc. It was so loud!!!

Another highlight was unracking the bar on flat bench press with a 45 missing from one side. Did not end well. icon_redface.gif

Dare I say it could it be sexual frustration? icon_razz.gif

I'm half joking but I used to say that to my friend who had his own 'theme song' whilst he was shouting and grunting at the gym lol.

I'm the fucking douchebag bodybuilder your momma warned you about.

The aggressive, alpha male attitude goes wild in the gym.

I don't care if someone occasionally grunts or makes noise on a particularly heavy set.

However, I'll crop dust someone who makes a point of doing it loud and very often regardless of weight. The reactions are priceless.

The first time I ever cleaned it was at the YMCA, and I let one rip, really loudly. The whole gym went quiet, and I just had to go about my set like nothing at all had happened.

We've all had our "moments" at the gym.

Maybe you should stop going around with chains in your teeth and you might calm down. ;) Some people get aggressive with the weights and I don't have a problem with that, unless they're like throwing down 35 lbs dumbbells like they were 85 lb dumbells. It's the people who get aggressive with others who are very uncool. Like you need to say to them: "This ain't your rack, bro, and this ain't your gym, got it?"

I can't speak for all Planets, but the 1 I go to is a good mix of people very built guys, nice toned guys, and not so fit guys that are at least in there trying. As for the lunk alarm in the 6 yrs I've gone to this 1, I think it's gone off 3x. 1 of which was this guy throwing the weights down and acting like a fool in the mirror. He was told do it again, and you are out. Other 2x I am not sure what was going on. I tend to Zone into my ipod, and forget what goes on around me. =)

If you can't do exactly that, it becomes a very grim world.

Yep I also make noises when doing heavy squats or deadlifts. When I was doing my 375lb max last week, I'm pretty sure the whole weight side of the gym turned to see what I was doing. I usually don't really care and just focus on my workout.
