I love cooking and consider myself a big foodie actually.

Italian food is just awesome! I love making puttanesca sauce, and sea bass in acqua pazza (fennel, white wine, onion, tomatoes, olives, capers, potatoes and fish stock).

    I'm surprised I'm not fat.

Wooof, finally, an interesting topic. Not one of those idiotic dog saving stories or whining about being single. Anywho, to the OP, I love cooking rice. I made paella yesterday (rice with seafood) I also like grilling. Like hamburgers and kebabs.

I really enjoy cooking and attempting new dishes, and pretty good at it. It depends on my mood.

I made beef Wellington for the first time the other day instead of pate, made a mushroom/walnut pesto, and wrapped the meat with prosciutto before adding the puff pastry. Severed with a mushroom sauce and grilled asparagus.

Tonight going to make my boyfriend and I, grilled pork tenderloin with jalapeño cream sauce and sweet potato mash and mostly likely salad as the green.

Those are probably my top favorites.

I can cook just about anything Italian and Chinese. Some Mexican and learning some Indian.

But right now my favorite meal is Rice and Beans with Herdez mild salsa, garlic, cumin, cilantro and pickled cactus.

    A can of tomatoes (400g)
    3 anchovy fillets
    Tablespoon of tomato puree
12 black olives in olive oil(not in brine)
    Teaspoon of capers (rinsed)
    1-2 garlic cloves, chopped
    Pinch of red chilli flakes

In a large frying pan, gently sizzle the chopped garlic cloves, anchovy fillets and chilli in olive oil. Add tomato puree and canned tomato sauce. Stir, and then add chopped olives and capers. Gently simmer the sauce until it becomes thick, and toss with spaghetti.

It's by far my favourite pasta sauce.

Also into a lot of American Italian:

    Chicken Piccata
    Chicken Marsala
    Pollo Alla Boscaiola
    Tagliatelle Bolognese

Started baking my own bread, this kills me because I found out how easy it is but I am trying to keep my diet low carb. If you are ok with bread, try the No Knead method. It got me hooked on how easy it its, how good it tastes and control over ingredients, no preservatives.

    No Knead Boule
    No Knead Ciabatta

What are some of your favorite things to make?

    - the world's best macaroni & cheese, from scratch, no mix - you better like a LOT of cheese, with my secret ingredient
    - duck à l'orange in a Weber charcoal grill
    - DITY shish-kabobs, also over charcoal, all the ingredients pre-marinated or otherwise prepared
    - any kind of meat over a grill, from beef to lamb
    - eggs, fried or scrambled (I prepare my scrambled in a cocktail shaker)
    - waffles (although I usually fail with pancakes)
    - shrimp cocktail sauce
    - Bloody Marys
    - gin martinis
    - prosciutto with hearts of palm hors d'oeuvres

    That's just for starters...
