    Hey Guys.

    Done with triathlon, onto surfing.

I'm in Miami next month for five weeks and am looking for a good surf instructor or surfing school. Ideas? Leads? Thanks.

There are some surf shops up at Dania beach near the pier.

You'll probably have to head up to cocoa beach because there is not a consistent enough surf this far south. When a big swell does come through it is blown out and a bitch to paddle out. I know because I'm trying to learn to surf a waveski and the swells are just not consistent or clean enough to learn on. The guy who sold me the waveski, up in cocoa beach, offers surf lessons. They sell just about every surfing craft.

Hit me up if you're interested in car pooling up there. I know the shop and they let guys park for free there.

In all honesty, the best surfing areas are further north, talking north of Jupiter to the Cape.

The Miami area doesn't see much in the way of surf this time of year, unless you have a hurricane coming from the Bahamas.
