Yeap, there is. I dated a guy a few years back. About 5 months into dating he asked if he could have a SLAVE. I said what, explain this.

He explained there are those out there that want to be controlled 24/7 by others. Force to do what ever thier Master says. Including sex acts (of course) but also where they sleep, eat, taking care of domestic duties...thier entire life.

What would anyone get out of this type of life? Anyone care to enlighten me what you as a slave might gain from this type of arrangement?

What do bottoms gain out of bottoming? Why do straight men like vagina's when most gay men throw up at the sight of it?

You either have a fetish, or you don't understand it. I personally don't get the 24/7 slave thing. It sounds like it would be nice for a few hours, but beyond that it is like having an invalid house guest. That is why sex is so interesting. Everyone is their own, unique, fucked up little snow flake.

Yes it's a fetish though I don't pretend to understand it. And as long as no one is hurt and it is consensual, I don't see the problem with it.

Obviously, for some people, total submission is fulfilling, who are we to begrudge them that?

EDIT: 'no one is hurt' BEYOND how much they want to be hurt (just no killing). LOL. Masochism is real too as well.

oh, and as per the title and unrelated to this thread's subject. There are now more slaves than ever in history according to an article in Foreign Policy.

If you really want to understand it you might want to do to a master/slave forum.

From my limited experience there is a sexual thrill in being controlled. It turns some people on to be dehumanized and reduced to an object for the pleasure of some one else. There is probably an aspect of freedom in it. If you are a slave, your master is the one responsible for you and your actions not you. Also keep in mind that this is voluntary slavery, these people are as free to leave their masters as you would be to leave a boyfriend.

What I find really interesting are Dog-Slaves and Pony-Slaves.

Slavery is not something that one does by choice. Anything other than that is just SICK!

A dominate overcontrolling bf or live in lover is a modern version of slavery. My ex housemate once told me that he younger lover is controlling every aspect of his life. Despite being a breadwinner he need to tell his bf how he spend his money. Tell him where he spend his times even who he have as a friend.
He need to call him at 10pm every night to tell the guy his whereabout.

This younger guys keep insisting than my friend is the reason why he is a gay man and now have to take responsibity for it. To make the matter worse the younger guy is a musclemen winner and while the other fellow a older average build guy. Eventhough I never see any evidence of domestic physical violence between them, but I have see him getting scolded at, . shouted at and humiliated.

Frankly I pity him, but he cant walk out. He said his bf, have blackmail to expose him as a gay man at his workplace if he ever try to leave

Official declaration of non-participation in yet another sexual-minority slugfest started for self gratification, self congratulation, and/or attention seeking.

A friend once forwarded me a pretty odd Craigslist ad about something similar to this except he wanted to be humiliated in a much more gruesome details that I won't delve into.

    It was quite disturbing. icon_sad.gif

The first comparison makes sense but I don't know about the second one. Of course someone who doesn't find the opposite sex attractive wouldn't find a vagina to be very appealing, if at all.

As to the OP... as far as I can infer, besides being a fetish, is that these people lack any sense of self-direction.

animanimus saidfreaky. just saturday night i was heavy petting with some very hot guy, nice bod, gorgeous face, when he almost whispers to me (i had to ask him to repeat what he'd said) "make me your bitch slave."

my brain was so not ready for that.

My hubby said that to me the other night.... I just started laughing.

This is, by far, the best quote of the night...or day, for most of you I guess.

Also, I'm glad you pointed out that article about modern day slavery. Read some of Kristof's most recent columns in the NY Times for some really stirring stories about sex slavery in Eastern Asia.
