Social experiments gone wrong.

I am always very positive and don't get angry very often. But, today was taking the cake.

HATE these stupid social experiments for pure shock value. I was about to knock the lights off this guys head at UCLA. I was leaving the gym and going on a run... and there's this loud ans aggressive fraternity looking bro yelling at a Chinese student. This guy was being obnoxious and he was quite bigger than the other guy. I was kind of watching closely cause he seemed rather aggressive and i didn't know why he was acting like an ass.

He started pushing the other student down... and no one was really doing anything... like people usually do. So i go over there just nicely telling the guy to lay and chill the f....... out. AND THE DUDE SWINGS AT ME. Not even a ''fuck you fat face'' not a ''your mama and daddy suck now eat dog poop'' NOPE this mofo threw hands at me and i used my first gut instinct. So i grabbed his hand, wrapped him up, and was about to body slam his ass to the ground and pound him (Yes, it seems rather violent. But he threw hands at me and my aggression took over) After that i was met with...

''NO bro we're just studying a social experiment calm down'' 0_0 WHAT??? I've seen on youtube them doing this before... and i guess there trying to make a statement or some crap about bullying. But, why did he swing at me? i mean i came over there just trying to break things up... and he threw fists at me! if this was a social experiment you should stop when i come over.

I hate when people do this kind of crap. They do these ''social experiments'' then edit them to look like people are absolute crap. This can be true... but whether they do it for bullying, sexism, or anything else. They can edit and manipulate things! they could have had 70 people come up to them day. Then they will pick the 10 worst and make it seem like their experiment is truthful. On top of that... someone could get hurt! ugh.

I need a big ole glass of water right now icon_lol.gif

Was it the guy from LAHWF on Youtube? Chances are you'll be on his channel soon as he's a famous Youtuber.

Also these "social experiments" are ridiculous and are for views, and nothing else. I'm sure they're not documenting their findings anywhere... icon_rolleyes.gif

Here's a picture of him taken from his channel.

You're right, he really shouldn't have swung at you if it was a Social Experiment. That's him taking it too far and putting himself in danger.

Here's a video here for reference of what they did.

And that video is very manipulative. Most of the people he bullies the kid in front of are small Asians. The comments are full of ''So Asians just keep to themselves? why don't they help? why are they so weak? this is why no one likes them cause there not real men etc''

Like any other race... Asians come in all shapes and sizes. And there are big ones (ahem, ME) Medium, small, average, and extra large. This guy was bigger than most of them... so, of course most won't stand up. Why doesn't he do this around the athletic groups? or guys bigger than him? why does most of the video consist of people who are smaller than him? i just think the video is shit to be honest. And that these social experiments hold little to no water.

Ahh! i really hate to rant here guys. I don't like to be the rant type of person icon_smile.gif i just feel very strongly about these type of experiments people do. I feel most are for shock value or youtube views! as other mentioned. Not to actually make some grand statement or have a higher sense of purpose.

And when one of these "social scientists" gets their arm or neck broken before somebody has the chance to say "Wait Bro!", there will be a tragedy.

These "social experiments" would not pass muster of an Institutional Review Board.

These "social experiments" are abusive and inappropriate. "Subjects" have not consented to being "subjects".

Love these experiments to show like you said: "and no one was really doing anything... like people usually do."
Dah...watch me drop this apple from the top of this building.
Surprised there hasn't been law suits yet, because you know that's the real Social reaction.
-next time smash the camera too.

I hear ya. It's manipulative and abusive and it won't stop until real people tell them in no uncertain terms that it won't be tolerated. I think confiscating the camera is a fine idea.
