Why did the layout and design for this site change? It was much
easier to navigate before, much more user-friendly...is this just a test?
Can you please convert it back to how it was?

The C.D.C. had a lab experiment go wrong on the H1N1 zombie virus, and now it's affecting the internet. It chose RJ as its first victim because of all the hot guys with small brains. Bodybuilding.com is next.

This brings back memories of the old static websites of the 90s. None of that fancy javascript or css crap. Just good old fashion HTML. icon_lol.gif

So, now this issue has been ongoing for 12+ hours now? Wonder what happened. At this point it might be easier to just rollback whatever change they implemented this morning, rather than try to troubleshoot it.

I've been OK on OS X running Safari, but iOS on my iPad just gives text, for the second day now.

Worse than yesterday here, with no photographs, just blue text, minimally functional, very slow, etc.

    Using Firefox, too.

I use Safari on Mac, so I haven't seen the problem. I notified our part-time technical help Friday morning, when I first got a notice about the problem from a member. Since I haven't heard back from tech, I deleted a poll created by a member (David3K) - on the off chance it has any connection to the problem.

I'm embarrassed - and so sorry about this weird inconvenience.

Jeff, I think it kind of depends on what browser you're using. I use both Safari and Firefox on my Mac and it shows the site all messed up. No profile pics are loading, lots of issues. Not sure what the source is, but you need a tech guy for sure. Nothing to embarassed about...this stuff can happen from time-to-time with sites. I've never seen it this bad on RJ though.

I'm not seeing that today, but I've seen it before from time to time. Not just for this site. e.g. Yahoo news does it too. Some kind of default emergency backup menu that you get sent to upon some error condition.

It's the Premium versus Economy RealJock. If you aren't paying for the Premium RealJock you don't get any CSS. icon_twisted.gif

Yes, looks like they are having technical difficulties. If they made changes that didn't work out they should have a back-up to restore it.

I'm guessing that it's hardware problems. From what I can see they have 4 "static" servers for simple/crude load balancing; a.rjstatic.com, ..., d.rjstatic.com. You can see those host names if you do a "view source" on the web pages. It looks to me like the d.rjstatic.com server is having intermittent problems.

Jeff is working on it with their tech guy. I think they know the problem but now just figuring out how to resolve it.

Our image serving issue has been resolved and pages should be loading correctly now for all users. The culprit was GoDaddy. Instead of notifying us that they had a problem processing our credit card payment, they disabled the DNS for our image serving domain which caused pages to load incorrectly. Needless to day, we will be switching to a new DNS provider in the near future. Thanks to all of our members that worked with us to resolve this problem.
