I see Sulla is reporting all looks fine to him. He's on a mac running SnowLeopard using Safari. I'm on a mac running the latest OS, 10.7.5 using Safari and the CSS (and other scripts and navigation pix are not loading. It may be that Sulla's older system has cached the CSS and the navigation pix so it looks 'ok' to him.

Looking at the page in DeveloperMode I see that a.rjstatic.com can not be found. Cf: http://a.rjstatic.com/style/finalnewtopic_2.1.39.css also http://a.rjstatic.com/script/finalnewtopic_2.1.39.js and *all* the a.rjstatic.com images

When I get to work around 10AM Pacific time, I'll check out the site from my desktop computer which, like Sulla, is running SnowLeopard. BUT if the a.static.com server isn't functioning this *shouldn't* matter. I haven't logged onto RJ from there since Thursday.

Anyway, everyone report what this looks like to you, the device your using, operating system and browser. This might help the techies figure out what is going on and get it fixed.

If, as i suspect, the rjstatic.com server itself is kaput, not much they can do but physically get a new one. If there is no backup of that server data---oh my lord. 0.o

    iMac, OS X Mavericks 10.9.4, Safari 7.0.5
iPad Air, iOS 7.1.2, Safari (integral for iOS)
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.2, Safari (integral for iOS)

RJ appearance & function is normal at the moment on all devices. First time since yesterday RJ on my iPad is normal, never had service problems on the Mac. (Only used the iPhone to double check if the problem was with the iPad only, rarely browse with the iPhone, but it was having the same issues as the iPad, now also corrected)

"I'm on a mac running the latest OS, 10.7.5"

Actually the latest OS X is Mavericks 10.9.4

I use Safari for Mac, so I didn't see any of the problems. I haven't heard back from our tech help, so I deleted a poll question created be a member (David3K), on the off chance it has anything to do with the trouble.

I'm embarrassed about this - and sorry for the inconvenience!

Whatever it is (or was) RJ is still working on my iPad at this moment. Which is important to me, since I use the iPad for RJ a good part of the day. In fact, that's what this post was sent from.

These smilies appear as writing for me, next to the message box when writing, but I can see them normally in the thread

If you clear your cache, you will all see problems. Just blue text links and black text like a bad mobile version

I'm at work now and as I suspected the older system, SnowLeopard, has most everything cached. Looks fine until I go to post at which point the CSS hasn't loaded, just the HTML bare-bones.

wow, how many posting about this problem? Jeff knows the issue, some style sheets not loading and is working with his tech guy to resolve it. Relax and breath everyone, the world (or RJ) is not ending!

As I've mentioned in another thread, I've loaded the site from other regions and countries with some online tools, the problem exists. And it's the rjstatic.com server that took a dump.

Maybe firewall or htaccess is misconfigured?

Strange that it got worse for some people who didn't experience it before. It's looking normal for me now after the whole day yesterday and today morning.

    Using Chrome incognito mode.
IE works for me now too.

I did a traceroute to the rjstatic server. Connection dies. I think it's a networking/routing issue.

I tried without success to use Chrome on my home iMac, instead of Safari. Got the same text-only screens.

BUT, then out of curiosity, I tried my iPad. Works! I'm using it now at home, next to my iMac. But this is the one that stopped operating with RJ yesterday, while the iMac was fine. Then it came back before noon today, and I had both devices working.

But now the iMac isn't working with RJ, but the iPad remains partly functional. I can get some page on it normally, while others go to text. The iMac is all text. Very strange!

Our image serving issue has been resolved and pages should be loading correctly now for all users. The culprit was GoDaddy. Instead of notifying us that they had a problem processing our credit card payment, they disabled the DNS for our image serving domain which caused pages to load incorrectly. Needless to day, we will be switching to a new DNS provider in the near future. Thanks to all of our members that worked with us to resolve this problem.
