I've successfully run a couple half marathons under 2 hours and am aiming for my first full marathon in November. I've got a sleek new Garmin watch & heart rate monitor and the Garmin website has a basic first-time marathoner's training plan.

Do I trust the Garmin plan or is there a better plan out there? I'm 17 weeks away from the run now, have been building base fitness and am open to suggestion!
