Beefy guy looking for a mentor

    Hi guys!

    So this is my first posting and I wasn't sure where it goes so I'll give it a shot.

    I'm 6'2 and roughly 295lbs, after recently losing a solid 50 pounds. I have a beefy football build (broad shoulders, wide torso, thick legs) and I'm at the point where I would like to really capitalize on this solid body size and really build muscle.

    I figure this is the best place to ask; I'm looking for a mentor/trainer/muscle-smart dude who is willing to take me under his wing and really help me understand the body, training, nutrition, and help me transform my body. I go to the gym currently 4 days a week and would love to take this journey with someone who is understanding, knowledgable, and ultimately looking to build a bond, a good buddy.

    How is it going? Have you signed up in your local gym?
    For beginners, the best thing in my opinion is to fit into a workout designed by someone from you gym. I mean, in you gym, there should be some trainer who can explain you which exercises you can do and how you have to do them. When you be advanced, you will be able to design your own routines or to get them from internet, but now it is important to hear the advice of the others.

    About nutrition, you know it is the most important thing when building a fit body. You have to focus on it. For the beginning, again I recommend you to ask for a local nutritionist who can guide you.

    Furthermore, you have to drink enough water, to rest 7-8 hours daily. And you know: no pain no gain. Don't give up icon_wink.gif
