I always wondered why Disney characters wear white gloves all the time like Mickey Mouse. icon_neutral.gif That, and why are the buttons for girls and guys' clothes on different sides.

    What about you?

clothes follow the traditions of the important people in history, royalty, the rich etc. Buttons were designed for right handed people to do and undo. Men, with the simpler outfits did their own buttons up and women would have had "the help" do it...ladies in waiting and such. Or loveable rogues in a hurry. Hence they are on opposite sides, but really on the same side from the perspective of the one doing the work.

okay, I have never had anything dry cleaned in my life, and i have far more of these than when i lived at my mom's, yet there were none when i moved into my house that I live in now. If I gave you 1000$ you wouldn't have a clue where to start acquiring them new...yet I have hundreds of them. WHERE DO WIRE HANGERS COME FROM?

That's not even bad. When I was a kid, we used to come up with torture devices and new ways to kill people. I kept an extensive list of everyone in my grade that I wanted to kill.

Yeah... people thought we were going to "pull a Columbine" in Highschool. My one friend even joked about it on numerous occasions which was of course in awful taste, just like all of his jokes.
"Hey, so school shooting on Friday?" became his new greeting.

Once, this fucking kid, I swear to God --
the teacher was going around the class asking for the students' input. The topic was the lighting of the Olympic flame as it was being held in Canada, and what they could do to honor Terry Fox at the lighting.

When it came around to him, he said this, almost verbatim:
"Yeah, I think Terry Fox's mom should dig up her son's corpse, and tie strings, turn him into a marionette, she can be operating him from up top, that way Terry Fox can light the torch himself, everyone wins."

The teacher gave him a look of abject bewilderment and said, very sharply, "Josh, that's demented."
And this is just one of MANY examples of how far he will take a sick joke.

The kid's hilarious though. He's one of the only people able to make me laugh until I piss myself.

Hahaha... I'll bring all my fucked up friends. They're awesome. My favorite is Richard.
He'll start telling you a story that isn't true at all, like how his mom walked in on him with his pants down passed out in a puddle of vomit. The thing is, he says it in such a stern tone, with such a straight face, you think he's telling the god-sworn gospel truth. In fact, I call him a chameleon because he can convincingly lie about anything. He's also VERY bright and VERY LIKELY a sociopath. But fun.

What makes a "salad" a "salad?" There's cold, hot, veggie, non-veggie, lettuce, no lettuce, etc so it seems almost anything can be a salad.

Why do tests of the Emergency Broadcast System always happen during shows I'M watching?

Where did Gilligan, the Skipper, Thurston & Lovey Howell, Roy Hinkley, Ginger and Maryanne go to the bathroom?

And could anyone else see microscopically like I could:

Why are so many people gullible, willingly ignorant and un-read?
    {nothing to do with previous posts...it's just something I've wondered for years!}

I've always wondered why there are so many different religions; and more specifically, why there are so many different denominations within the Christian religion (Catholic, Protestant, Episcopal, Baptist, Methodist, etc).

In fact, the research I did on different religions throughout history is why I stopped believing. It actually had nothing to do with my sexuality.

Something else I've always wondered about:

This country, the United States of America, has been erroneously referred to as "America" as long as I can remember. Anyone with a grade school education should know that America is actually a combination of the two continents, North America and South America. So what I've always wondered is, how can a country that purports itself to be a world superpower go on for so long without an official name?
