    Hello all.
I am interested in hiring a trainer in Ft. Lauderdale to help me achieve some goals over the next few months. My main goal is fat loss but I would also like to increase my endurance so I am interested in circuit type workouts ("turbulence training", bootcamp style, etc.), preferably in a private gym.
    Anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks!
    ...and thanks for the inspiration!

What gym do you go to? The personal trainer I had when I was in Delray is awesome. He lives in Pompano, but works in Boca and Delray. I'd HIGHLY recommend him. Shoot me an email if you're interested.

You need to be careful in FTL
I lived there and a lot of the trainers are used much more for the way they LOOK instead of what they know icon_confused.gif

I agree... Check out their credentials... see if they actually pay attention to what you are doing... see if they are just going to stick you on machines or actually help you with new exercises, with your form, etc...

Also... If you REALLY want to know how good a trainer is... check to see if they have any references you can check out...

Many personal trainers advertise in the FTL gay rags, like 411 and Hot Spots. Certainly a lot to check out, and no doubt a lot who are rip-offs. I'll check with friends here, see if anyone has any personal knowledge, which I do not myself.

Thanks for all the advice, guys! icon_biggrin.gif

I've checked a few out and unfortunately price has been an issue for me. I came across a new place which offers training in small groups of no more than 4 people for $30/session. They are still building the clientele so the groups are still only 1 or 2 people.

www.nrgfitness.biz if you want to check it out.

Gold's on Commercial Blvd has a group of trainers "SuperFit".
Very professional and high quality trainers.
I bought a package, which ran me under $30/session.
