Got a green thumb? Share some of your indoor plant pictures.

Here are five of my terrariums which include three different ferns, three different mosses and lichen, and begonias. Go to your garden center and many times they will have moss growing below the plant benches. A woman gave a bunch of it to me for free. Rinse and quarantine it for three to four days (to remove worms and bugs) and there ya go.

Long tools and a lot of frustration. Sounds like a gay bar. icon_wink.gif

I don't like common houseplants (like spider plants, way too '70s), or any vine stapled to a cubicle wall which in nature would (in the tropics) grow a two foot leaf span and choke whatever tree it parasitically attached itself to.

Funny you should mention houseplants that grow much larger in the wild. About four years ago I divided an average-size split-leaf philodendron into two cuttings. One retained leaves about 10-12" in length. The other, well, it's literally monstrous! Latest leaf is 29".

Indoor plants are too hard to maintain so I got rid of all plants. My yard is the lush garden place.

I don't care about houseplants. I already have a natural garden.

Having an acre garden to care for I have no time or want of houseplants; mine are all out in the garden...

Either those leaves are really big, or you're just 4 feet tall

I have one house plant, a cactus that was a gift.
The garden is out on my deck, and I wish I had 100 times more space.

I've reduced from about 30 down to three the past several years. Pussy had a little something to do with it...

I used to keep houseplants when I lived in town. Now I'm back on the farm, not so much. Plenty of plants outside.

In my last apartment, I had an angel-wing begonia that grew through the blinds and filled my whole 4x8 window. (with integral praying mantis colony, for some reason.) When I moved, I started chopping it up to haul out to the dumpster and women came running from all over the neighborhood to scurry away with the cuttings. icon_neutral.gif

I have a few… they are a pain in the ass. I have tons of outdoor plants in pots, mainly small bonsai, japanese maples, etc. My love of all things gardening is fading in my old age. icon_eek.gif

C'mon now, go get yourself a tall variegated snake plant at the Homo Depot, and you'll fit right in. From the web, gayest display of snake plants ever.

Corner of my kitchen right now with a $10 yard sale chair for decoration. Too fragile to sit in, but adds a nice focal point. So HGTV of me. icon_wink.gif
