    Guiltiest of Guilty Pleasures...

We ALL have them & sometimes it is hard to get over or overlook them. Now with me, I made a resolution to cut out fast food altogether, with maybe an exception to a side or even a full salad form my job. My MAJOR Guiltiest Pleasure is...My mother's home cooking.

    Fried chicken wings
    Fried potatoes
Green beans w/ salt pork & pepper
Grilled ham & cheese, extra dark on the bread
Smothered pork chops in gravy with homemade baked mac & cheese
    Mashed turnip potatoes from scratch

Whenever I got depressed or lazy, which isn't very often, I didn't blow my money at these fast food places, I just looked at the food in my fridge at home. Those are just some of my simple Guiltiest Pleasures but guess what?

They all come from within my home!!

...I'm sure that there are some of you who get a moment to indulge in some of your Guiltiest Pleasures...

What are some of yours? Don't be shy...

chocolate anything (cake, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, candy bars). Peanut butter is a big indulgence as well though not nearly the way chocolate is.

    I indulged last night.

So... I was in the city and stopped in at a gay club for a bar-food dinner. (It's dead quiet there, before ten and they usually have relatively decent bar food. Whereas the nearby brewpubs have a 30 minute line for a table. It's fine, if you can get used to eating under a bank of monitors playing porn and formulaic cum shots (Oh waiter! ...hold the mayo, please...) )

Anyway, I had a greasy bacon cheese burger and fries, and a few drinks. On the way home, I actually had to stop the car by the side of the interstate and ralph it all onto a snowbank.

I thought that maybe my body has become junk-food intolerant, but most likely it was a bit of food poisoning. Maybe I don't want to know what was going on back in that kitchen.

Donuts. I can pretty much eat a dozen Krispy Kreme original glaze in no time.

Spam. Spam musubi is my preferred way to eat it.

French fries. Steak cut, shoestring, curly, seasoned, or wafer.. I'll eat it.

Pastrami sandwich from The Hat. It's the epitome of artery clogging goodness.

Del Taco. The best pseudo Mexican fast food joint around.

Bacon. Lots of bacon. My mouth is watering as I type this.

Pop music. I'm pretty open minded about music in general, but I don't listen to pop music very often. But I do appreciate some pop songs with a catchy beat and "lyrics".

Another Craigslist fan here. Reading through the personals is fascinating, funny, and sad all at once.

Okay, my ultimate cookie would be Whole Wheat Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. Anyone out there know of where I can find a recipe for this?

    o Realjock.com

    o Making people feel uncomfortable.

o Removing food that is jammed between my teeth with the edge of a sugar packet in a nice restaurant.

There's more, but I'm too guilty to admit to them.

I probably shouldn't mention the "horny busboy" phenomenon.

Ooops. I guess I just did.

You should try eating all the complementary bread without ordering then asking for more. icon_biggrin.gif
