Does it drive you crazy when people respond through text with 1 or 2 words?

I don't understand some people sometimes. Unless the person is clearly not interested, it just gets on my dick when guys respond to a creative text with 1 or 2 words. Especially someone you're trying to get to know. I'm starting to feel like I need to start doing the same, as perhaps I've become overwhelming. When someone says good morning, I'll respond back, "GM". What am I doing? "NM". Where am I going tonight? "haha"

I really don't like having conversations thru text to begin with, but people so dumb these days, they can't do it any other way. You can't pick up the phone, but yet you expect shit to come through crystal clear thru a GODDAMN text messages. I wonder if 1 day, text messages will become ILLEGAL. Or at the very least, obsolete. Because people just don't know how to fucking use it. We're all becoming social retards, in the scheme of trying to get to know strangers. I see these guys try to talk to me, and they're just pathetic. I have to always do all the work in trying to get anything done. I get so tired of having these meaningless conversations with people through text.

OK, I was just kidding. icon_lol.gif Actually I always made a conscious effort to not answer with one word because I think it's kinda rude in real life.

Well that's what I'm saying. But people make it seem like I'm crazy, because I think they are rude. It's like dude, no. You need to put the effort in, or call me or something. Why am I the one writing these relevant, drawn out texts that get, "oh, lol" for a response? I hate that.

You seem to be a very kind, caring, and considerate guy.
There have to be lots more like you out there.
All you have to do is find them.
BTW, I agree with what you said.

One suggestion would be to keep your initial texts fairly short and to the point until you find out if you're both interested. But, still, I wouldn't have much patience for one-word texts.

Txt is cheap or for free. So, no one wants to put any effort into it. Some are plainly lazy. Many others are afraid that they would appear uncool.

I doubt that the txt was meant for anyone to write novels. But why bother if it is only "NM", and "IDK" or similar? The guy is plainly uninterested. Move on.

If a guy isn't carrying his end of the conversation, I just stop replying.
