E-cigs are not healthy, everybody knows that. Still it could help people to quit smoking by providing them nicotine so that their abstinence crisis won't be as bad as if they weren't getting any nicotine at all. Plus the physical thing and the smoke (vapor) makes it easier to go through the psychological addiction.
It is clear that the big cigarette companies don't want smokers to try electronic cigarettes for the simple fact that if people quit smoking, cigarette companies will make less and less money. It is a tool to quit smoking - I know a few people who have quit with the help of e-cigs - and it should be seen as so.

Just amazing when you see somebody at the gym and they go outside for a smoke. It just makes me sick to my stomach anymore. I understand that "E" cigs are to help one stop, but it's all bad.

Glad I never opted to try it out when I was a kid.

Wow - that ad is literally sickening - and SO stupid. If the ad had been focused on quitting, it would have made a LOT more sense.

E-Cigs are not allowed (thankfully) in places where regular ones aren't, at least in NYC. That includes public transport and restaurants.

LOL. that happens all the time @ my gym. they'll be like three or four packs of cigarettes right by the door along with cigarette smoke. what is the point of working out? let me find out that they do cardio too.

I always considered smoking to be bad, unhealthful, stupid, and unreasonable. But when I was 15, I decided to take a maximum of three puffs on a cigarette to see what it was like. I took only two; it was horrible. I could not understand why anyone would want to smoke. If I had liked it, I still would not have taken more than three. That was in about 1954 before there was all the publicity on the harmful effects, but it should have been obvious that anything that burns the nose and eyes could not be good for the lungs. Besides, everyone knew it was addictive and I couldn't see becoming addictive to anything, regardless of whether it was harmful.

From what I've been told, smoking is at first very unpleasant, but then people become used to it. But I don't understand why people would go through that unpleasant state. The mother of a friend of mine even apologized for not smoking! She said that she couldn't learn to smoke since it gave her a headache. I guess with sufficient social pressure some people can be induced to to just about anything.

Well it's about time, glad they atleast made a study with solid facts. Looked it up a while ago and there weren't any studies made. Atleast now there's enough to know its not a "better" choice. Good enough for me.

I was wondering whether nicotine was the harm, for that there are vapes that are NOT purposely simulating cigarettes ("e-cigarettes") which DON'T contain nicotine at all. But, with the whole particle-sized situation and the lungs' reaction. I see.
Thanks for always sharing informative posts man! The more ya know the more ya know. [:

Why would anyone drink booze? Alcohol tastes terrible.

No one would ever ingest an alcoholic drink unless it had alcohol in it.

Pot? That stuff is horrible the first time. Cough your damn brains out. Why would anyone keep doing it?

Anal sex? Man, that hurts like hell when you're new at it. Who in their right mind would keep doing it?
