A jock is someone who plays or does a sport.
There are plenty of guys who are chubby and skinny that play sports. I.E. football players, runners, swimmers etc.

No need to hate on chubby and skinny guys. icon_rolleyes.gif

There is a very simple reason: they can.

Ever wondered why is a dog liking his balls? He can.icon_rolleyes.gif

I don't know what the meaning of jock is, so I looked it up and found this:

To clear things up, there is a major difference between a jock and athletes. Jocks tend to abuse their popularity, while the athletes don't really mind who they talk to or hang out with.
Signs of a jock: Rude, arrogant, stupid, beats up people, dates only cheerleaders and hangs around other jocks

Signs of a true athlete: Love their sport, try to stay down-to-earth (a little arrogance is expected), hang out with whoever they want, date whoever they want, might beat people up but that doesn't mean it was uncalled for.

Seems like jocks are posers and the OP definitely seems to hint that way with his question. icon_confused.gificon_confused.gif

I never knew the word "jock" carries such a negative connotation. icon_confused.gif But sometimes the bad-boy type can be very attractive too. icon_redface.gif

That definition doesn't signify "bad boy", but douchebag.

Bullshit. Old definition. Old attitude. Jocks are guys that like to do sports or other activities that involve using their muscles. Being active. Being fit. I agree that skinny and chubby guys can be jocks but it is the exception. All this defensiveness is more telling than justified. My guess is skinny or chubby guys that see themselves as jocks are here because they relate and want to continue their goals to be better in their chosen activity or just plain get more fit, look better.

i always associated jocks with sports. Not many people here appear to play nor be interested in sports(if they are then they haven't posted much)

so i doesn't matter on this site lol

    +100

And let's list chubby golfers like me, and bicyclists. I just registered yesterday to peddle the 165-mile HIV/AIDS charity ride from Miami to Key West.

And of course I recently got a new gym membership that I mentioned here, using the SilverSneakers program for 65+ seniors. For chubby seniors, too.

Chubby guys are among those who SHOULD be on RJ, if they're interested in losing that weight, and keeping in shape. RJ is a site for gay men's health and fitness, not just for Adonis types and athletes who are already in great shape.

What could be more worthy than a site dedicated to creating more hot guys?

... of course, one has to actually follow through.

That's true though. Almost nobody on this site is interested in sports or fitness. All topics about sports, fitness or health get ignored. A lot of dudes on this site are here for the wrong reasons. They use this site like a general LGBT site. It isn't. Even though OP is just trolling, there is a certain truth here.

But, it wasn't until she moved to the FRONT of the bus that she got real results.

What I can gather from the word "jock" is that this signifies people who are mostly looking to get fit and for whom sports is obviously a good way to get that result. You have others (I consider myself part of this "group") who enjoy a sport because of the sport itself and getting fit isn't the primary goal. I play soccer, because I love the sport. I don't play soccer, because it's going to get me fit. These are labels that generalize, but it shows a certain indication. The term "jock" to me seems more rooted in a fashion culture than sports culture. It's a term that we don't have here, so I could be misinterpretating it.
