Fish Oil

    I've recently starting taking fish oil supplements and I take a 1000mg gel cap once a day. Is that enough or do I need to increase it? I started taking these in hopes of helping my shoulder/rotator cuff discomfort since fish oil has been found to decrease inflammation. I've also noticed that I have started looking leaner, does fish oil help with weight loss as well?

    No expert here but i have read that omega-3s have a general anti inflammatory impact and also that there is a theory that they help with lean muscle mass development. So this might be what you are experiencing. Tumeric is also a natural anti-inflammatory. I take 1gm fish oil (has 300mg omega-3) and 500 mg turmeric twice a day, plus about 17 other vitamins :-)
