So I wanted to make a post that was positive and encouraging to the RJ community. Basically I would like to hear what everyone did today or this week so far that they are most proud of. Hopefully this can be an ongoing topic that we can all go back to in order to see how far we've come as individuals and a community as a whole. So I guess I'll start...

This week I started one of thoes "#happy100days" challanges. I decided to challange myself to do a minimum of 100 push-ups every day for 100 days. Hope I can make it all the day to the end.

Sold my old car and my old motorcycle to some kids from the city. Clearly, they thought they were taking advantage of me. But I got half of my garage back and two projects that I'll never finish out of the way. Just to sweeten the deal, I loaded them both onto the equipment trailer and hauled them to their house (2 hours driving.)
    I hope we're all happy.

BTW: 100 push-ups is easy. Once you get that under control, add 100 sit-ups and 100 pull-ups. Oh, and then there's 100 jump-squats and 100 walking lunges... Ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch.

good for you!!! great personal challenge. i've had lots of friends do the 100 days challenge and it looks very positive and motivating.

well i'm still working through my day (as it is only 3pm), but today i plan on having an incredibly productive day. got a list of things to do and if i can be as undistracted as possible, i should get most of it done icon_smile.gif

Well, over the past few weeks Ive planned the Commoration Events at the Church where I am Minister of Music for today.

This morning I led a Schools/Kids session on the reasons why Britain went to war in 1914 (over Belgian neutrality) and involved reenactors who talked about being soldiers in the Great War and I presented on being a Quaker, therefore pacifist, and about the first aid, being a stretcher bearer, the Friends Ambulance Unit etc.

Then in the afternoon we staged a 'Music Hall' with songs from 1914 and the Victorian era, sung by my head chorister with me on the piano....and with a sing along with mostly older persons from the local community in attendance.

Followed by BCP Evensong. Which I playted for and directed.

Then I spoke on the history of the Town and it's role in the war.....

I think Ive earned a pint of beer and a snooze.

Terrific Day. Wonderful spread of events and emotional curve - from fun and light hearted in the morning gradually growing more sombre and sobre as we approached the evening and 11pm whem Britain declared War on Germany. Moving. Fitting.

I was driving down the street on my way to work and saw a sack get thrown from the car in front of me, it was obvious something was in it so I pulled over to take a look. Inside was a beautiful Shepard puppy. Not sure how bad he was hurt I brought him to the vet to get looked at he was scared and I knew something was wrong with him. I got to the bet and they said he had a broken leg so I had them him take care of him and stay the night, I'll pick him up tomorrow to start my life with a new dog... Always wanted my own dog... Always wanted a Shepard

Last Saturday I went to do some volunteer work with a friend at a nursing home. We helped push wheelchair taking seniors to shop at a store nearby. It was not much but it was surely a feel-good thing to do. :-)

This is a perfect example of animal abuse !
By any chancedid you have the time to write their license plate # , if you did report him/her immediately to the authorities .
Those people should get a harsh punishment for that horrible action !
Thanks for saving the puppy , you have a new four legged mate for life . icon_biggrin.gif

I quit my second job at the end of last week and after this weekend I will be free (don't need to work a full notice because I wasn't there long enough).

A weight has been lifted. I loved the job but I was making myself too tired and stressed, killed my social life and still wasn't making enough money to get on the property ladder so it was pointless. I'm still worried that I've plans to go out this weekend whilst I am still working 7 full days this week but I'll have to cope.

Feel slightly guilty that they are now going to have to train someone else up but they were understanding of my reasons.
