lol, honestly SB. Srsly?
Now then, you were saying?
"Srsly" Where have you been that you don't know this? This is nothing new.
IN 2002 the CDC found found that only 2.3% of the population of the U.S. consider themselves homosexual. According to the CDC 2.3% considered themselves to be homosexual; 1.8% considered themselves to be bisexuals.
In the 2003 U.S. Supreme Court case of Lawrence v. Texas, 31 homosexual and pro-homosexual advocacy groups admitted to the following: "The most widely accepted study of sexual practices in the United States is the National Health and Social Life Survey (NHSLS). the NHSLS found that 2.8% of the male, and 1.4% of the female, population identify themselves as gay, Lesbian or bisexual. See Laumann, st al, The Social Organization of Sex: Sexual Practices in the United States (1994). This amounts to nearly 4 million openly gay men and 2 million women who identify as lesbian." found on page 16 of the legal brief, footnote 42.
The 4 and 2 million numbers were reached by multiplying the 2.8% and 1.4% figures by the total number of males and females in the population respectively, however, it is admitted that those numbers are unreasonable because they included some 60 million Americans under the age of 14, including 40 million under the age of 9 years old as openly gay men and women.
The NHSLS study found that, of those reporting only same-sex partners from the age of 18, 0.9% were men and 0.4% were women. That would only reflect a total of 1.4 million who identify as homosexual.
A 1992 Planned Parenthood/Alan Guttmacher Institute study published these findings:
Just 2.3% of males between the age of 20 and 39 said they had experienced a same sex relationship in the past 10 years. Of those only 1.1% identified as exclusively homosexual.
A U.S. survey conducted in 1979 indicated that no more than 6% of adults had any kind of same-sex experience, with less than 1.5% saying they were exclusively homosexual.
In 1992 a French study found that only 1.4% of men and 0.4% of women had any same-sex contact in the last five years.
The National Opinion Research Center provided data in 1991 that indicated that of the 6% who have ever experienced same-sex relations, the number of homosexuals currently active at the time was .06-.07% (T.W. Smith, Planning Perspectives, 1991).
A 1986 survey conducted by the Minnesotta Adolescent Heallth Survey ofpublic school students found that 0.6% of boys and 0.2% of girls identified as mostly or wholly as homosexual.
A 1988 Canadian survey of first-year college students reported that 98% identified as heterosexual; 1% as bisexual; and 1% as homosexual.(King, et al. Canada Youth and Aids study: Queen's University.)
The 2000 U.S. Census figures show that homosexuals exist in far fewer numbers in the general population that activists have led people to believe. The 2000 Census showed 106,741,426 households in the U.S., with only 00.42% of those as unmarried same-sex households. That is a total of less than 1% of the total households.
Dr.s Mark Yarhouse and Stanton Jones addressed the source of the 10% myth. The 10% myth originated in , what is now known as flawed, research of Dr. Alfred Kinsey in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Kinsey's research has recently come under fire in recent years not only for his use of pedophiles but also for his statements about the prevalence of homosexuality have been widely misquoted and distorted. Kinsey, actually never reported that 10% of the population is homosexual. Kinsey actually reported a number of statistics on prevalence rates, the following among them:
10% of white males 16-55 were "more or less" exclusively homosexual in a three-year period.
50% of all males had neither an attraction to nor the experience of any homosexual behavior.
The rate of homosexuality among women is "about half the rate of men".
Kinsey's study as a whole is suspect because he didn't use random sampling and purposely drew samples from prison populations and among self identified homosexuals without attempts to reflect the general population as a whole.
Gay activist and researcher in the area of HIV/AIDS, Bruce Voeller admitted in his 1990 book "Some Uses and Abuses of the Kinsey Scale" that the 10% myth was used to give homosexuals more political clout disproportionate to their actual numbers. According to Voeller: " after years of educating those who inform the public and make it's laws, that concept that 10 percent of the population is gay has become generally accepted as "fact"...As with so many pieces of knowledge and myth, repeated telling it made it so...."Even if your; "You can get fired for being gay in sizeable portions of your country, and there's a grass roots conservative push for open discrimination against gay customers by businesses." actually had anything to do with reality it still wouldn't account for the discrepancy between the actual figures and the myth.
As for your bull about about why some people choose not to post a face pic, you are making a big leap there as well. As I have pointed out elsewhere, I have children and don't post face pictures out of respect for their privacy and in reality I and my family have more to fear from those tolerant people on your side of the aisle than from conservatives.
I wonder do you ever have a clue about what you are talking about or do you just say whatever comes into your mind hoping that there are enough fools out there to buy whatever it is you are peddling?
