The type of guy most gays wanna date!

Most gay guys prefer straight acting or straight looking. But most guys you can't find them. Most gay guys are drag queens, fem gays and normal guys. I think people should just stop wanting a straight acting guy, if you want one them i hope you are able to turn a strt8 guy Gay. People should just go for whoever seems like a perfect match fo them

And what if a drag queen or "fem gay" isn't a perfect match for me? I have to force myself to be attracted to them? No thanks, I'd rather be alone.

Personally, I am attracted to straight/masculine guys. It's not something I chose (the same way none of us chose to be attracted to men in general), it's just the way I am.

Does the guy need to be the most macho man on earth without a hint of femininity? No. But I am generally more attracted to guys who act/carry themselves like a normal guy without flaunting their sexuality. It's okay if the guy has a feminine side to him, but I just want someone who you wouldn't be able to tell is gay unless they told you or you saw them holding hands/kissing another man, which is similar to the way I carry myself.

i'm always amazed at how guys who aren't masculine are always getting upset because no one is picking them. yet they are always looking for masculine guys themselves. most gay guys want masculine guys. i am one of them. if i wanted someone to fem i would go get a woman. dude, get over yourself and stop being so judgmental. if they ain't looking for you then go find someone who likes what you bring to the table

Seriously dude i'm just putting my thoughts outs. Most of us want straight looking or acting guys who are masculine. You'll find out that one day the guy you are looking for isn't straight looking nor acting. The guy is a drag queen or fem guy!

I'm pretty sure that the "straight acting," gays are there, they're just "acting straight" and are harder to spot. Also, if I am understanding what you are trying to imply about masculine and feminine personality types, I prefer to not be classified as "straight acting," thank you very much. I'm not acting or doing it deliberately, this is just how I respond to my social environment. icon_rolleyes.gif

Being straight encompasses such a wide spectrum of personality types, so I really don't understand where the line is between "acting gay" and "acting straight" apart from liking penis. Saying "masculine" or "feminine" will at least get you in the right ballpark, despite being incredibly subjective.

Most gay guys are invisible. You can FIND a fem gay, no problem. You can FIND a masc gay, no problem. Most people fit neither, and don't show up in a search because...why the fuck should someone advertise if they're fem or masc? They don't want to be FOUND fitting into some narrow pigeonhole.

There was this guy I worked with a few years ago. Handsome as hell. And he was real friendly towards me. But I didn't know. You know?

A couple of years later he died of a massive heart attack.

He died alone with his two cats. I fucking cried.

This is really sad. Kind of a powerful reminder, too. Seems like a lot of gay man hold out for perfect and end up with near nothing.

Maybe not as much as holding out as just not knowing if the guy they like is gay. That is the problem. If I would have known, I would have been all over him like white on rice.

His having two cats aside, that is not a given of homosexuality. In his case, though, he was gay.

I just didn't know until he passed away.

I do like to go for masculine guys. I don't really want to date anyone that is "straight-acting" because i don't want someone who is not genuine. i don't have an issue with feminine guys, I'm pretty fem myself depending on my environment. Not saying that I choose to hide it, but it comes down to a comfort level. When I'm with people im comfortable around, I can be pretty fem. But with strangers, I don't really act any way specifically because I am a really shy guy by nature anyway. Not sure if I made any sense, but this is what I feel as I write this reply.

It's not really sad ... everyone dies alone ultimately when you think about it.

I date guys who I find attractive. They have all been gay (no bi or bi curious) yet are not overtly feminine nor are they all that hyper masculine either. I guess I'm attracted to a regular guy who is comfortable in his own skin and doesn't feel he has to put on an act whether overtly feminine or hyper masculine.

This does not mean I have anything against feminine or hyper masculine gays, I'm just not attracted to them as far as partner material is concerned.

If someone is naturally effeminate or very masculine that's fine but if I get the impression you are acting, I'm turned off.

That's true. I imagine that when you step into the great beyond you do it alone even if you die with hundreds in a plane crash.

Wrong. some masculine guys do like the feminine type, sometimes the fem side of a guy is a turn on (you dont have to get it).

I don't care if you are fem or masculine as long as you don't keep up a lot of drama with me, can communicate(none of this sup,wussup,k,etc... ),decent looking, decent shape, have a job or going to school, pay your bills, not into drugs and in Atlanta you must own a car. Also, not into the whole race preference. I am attracted to a person's brain power first and then his looks

stop it, man. what the fuck do you mean "stop flaunting their sexuality?" not every effeminate guy you see moving around is gay. that's an assumption on your part as well as a display of ignorance. just because you're ashamed to be gay or embarrassed by your sexual orientation where you're closeted doesn't mean that others should be. don't make your struggle somebody elses. work on yourself. if you're ashamed of yourself now, you're going to have much difficulty later.

Aw, did I strike a nerve or something? I said that I am personally attracted to guys who can be gay "without flaunting their sexuality", not that anyone who does needs to "stop". Read my posts before you go shooting your mouth off.

Not every effeminate guy is gay, yes, but most men who are over-the-top feminine are gay. It's really not that difficult to tell. Call it a stereotype, but it's true.

And who the hell are you to say that I'm "ashamed" of myself? You don't know me. Stop getting your panties in a bunch because of my personal preferences. I have nothing against anyone who is feminine, all I said was that I PERSONALLY don't admire that trait in a partner. If you're offended by that, then that's your problem.

I think it's a misconception that most gay guys are feminine. It's definitely easier to tell that a feminine man is gay & harder to guess if a masculine guy is gay. The media tends to perpetuate this stereotype as well. Thus, society tends only to note gay men when they are behaving like women.
