unless you look on ebay for a second hand one its unlikely the margins on apple products are so slim that you wont find massive discounts on them anywhere.

    I agree - I love my iPhone.

iPhone = what god would be, if he was a smartphone. And existed.

I have had my Ipod touch for a year now and can't go a day with out it. I am counting down the days till my contract with altell is up then I'm moving to At&t and getting the Iphone. Sorry chad. Even though the Ipod touch actually costs more than the 3G Iphone I'd say it's still worth it. Especially if you have the light saber app. I break mine out in between sets at the gym and show people my jedi skills.

I have a first-gen iPhone, and as much as I love Apple products in general, I'm really not all that impressed. Bad volume control, some un-intuitive features (every other time I hang up a call it calls somebody else), etc. I'm actually contemplating getting rid of it when my contract renews in March.

Anybody use the first-gen iPhone and upgrade to the 3G? Is it better?

As for the Touch...I love mine. I actually use it more often than my old 80-gig video ipod.

I think the iPhone is a great product regardless its limitations(video support, and low camera resolution), in general it basically settled a new age for the cellphone industry. Companies are rushing trying to basically copy this product by all means and include some new features to stay competitive but so far there isnt an iphone killer in the market yet. Ive seen some reviews and the best competitor is probably the blackberry storm, yet theres nothing that can possibly compete with Apple Store, a web browser as Safari, and its compatibility with ipods connections which makes it really easy to get a cable to charge your phone anywhere.

So yes, the iphone is the best phone in the market right now, and many providers even have a special button in the menu bar of their website home page just for it. Fido(canadian company which offers the iphone along with Rogers) as the first option when you call the company you get something like this "If youre calling about the iphone 3G press 1 now".

Many people say its a very nice phone some others rather to say its a computer you can use to make calls.
