"August 12, 2014 The National Republican Congressional Committee, which came under fire earlier this year for a deceptive series of fake Democratic candidate websites that it later changed after public outcry, has launched a new set of deceptive websites, this time designed to look like local news sources."

"The NRCC's single-page sites are designed to appear to be a local news portal, with logos like "North County Update" or "Central Valley Update." The articles begin in the impartial voice of a political fact-checking site, hoping to lure in readers. "

    southbeach1500 saidWell, Democrats have:

    CNN
    MSNBC
    NBC
    ABC
    CBS
    The New York Times
    The Washington Post
    The LA Times
    ...

If you haven't read criticism of Democrats and features on Democrats caught in scandals in the above media, your reading skills are poor.

" when a voter in Democratic Rep. John Barrow's Georgia district, for instance, searches the congressman's name on Google, the first ad that shows up leads to the faux news site."

This short article is worth reading so you can see how easily and 'legally' these dirty tricks are done.

Of course it's a problem, regardless of who does it. It's manipulative and nasty, and should be illegal. It would be just as wrong for Democrats to do as it is for Republicans. Face it, your political system is fucked.

    It's called freedom of speech.

If what's written in those websites is false, they should sue for defamation/libel. Or maybe they aren't doing that because they know what is written can be backed, so all they have left is their typical moaning.

"The House GOP campaign arm, previously criticized for phony Democratic candidate sites, is now in the faux-news game."

Republicans are using the Freedom to LIE because they don't have to worry about defamation/libel suits until AFTER THE ELECTIONS.

Republicans start these things just before an election. Because there's no way to quickly stop them.

And afterwards, if they win another majority in the House, no investigations will be done. So that they basically get a pass. A license to violate campaign laws, without penalty. It happens every campaign cycle. And even when Democrats had a slim majority, Republicans blocked investigations procedurally.

Vote Out The Liars From Any Party.

Cuomo needs to pay the price and so do the Republicans who are creating these fake news sites.

Look it, both democrats and republicans are equally guilty of this shit. Launching fake news sites, spewing out propaganda, lying to the people both the democrats and the republicans are undisputed experts in the art of distorting the truth. Both major parties are no good for this country and it is time to evict all democrats and all republicans from elected office.
