  Feel free to believe in religion by all means, but there yet remains to be substantial proof of the existence of God/Gods. Also, in terms of any event - it is very unwise to try and predict the future. All we can ever do is analyse the past and pray (intentional choice of wording there) that we don't repeat the same mistakes.
