or life philosophy??
kevex saidThis is gonna be a long ass post tha nobody will read but whatevs:
The human species will not last forever, and it is selfish to think so, just because we are intelligent enough to think we could does not mean that we will. Everything we have and will create will get destroyed and forgotten, and anything you do to make an impact in this world will not matter in 1 million years.
But really, Who cares?
Honestly, I don’t get why people feel a need to be remembered forever. We write books, make art, movies, music, so some other people will look at it and say “huh, that’s interesting”, and move on with their lives. We fight wars, nominate politicians, paint things, build things, just for people a few centuries later to read a paragraph about them in their history books. Ultimately, no one is important. Nothing really matters. Ghandi isn't important, Einstein isn't important, Hitler isn't important, Queen Elizabeth isn't mportant, etc. We are all just here fumbling around trying to figure out what we’re supposed to be doing, and by the time we figure it out we’re dead. And maybe, during that time, we have helped others figure it out themselves.
But isn’t that liberating as well? Why worry about life if it won’t matter in the end anyway, right? Just live how YOU want, do what makes you happy, take risks, because it won’t matter anyway! Just be who you want to be and not what others want to see. And when you die, all that matters is that you are satisfied with your life.
And even that doesn’t matter really…
