Shark100 saidI come from a Christian family, I know what the believe and respect that, if I have to tell them I am gay at least I will take an attitude that this guy does not have....you should know how to tell people things rather than prove you are right about your nature that it is not a choice, I would try to be a bit humble and apologise to my family if I hurt them, and let them know in a more less selfish way that I cannot change what I am....just my point of view
you are entitled to your opinion. HOWEVER, one should never have to apologize/apologise for who they are. I certainly hope you do not condone the verbal and physical abuse this young man received. FROM HIS "PARENTS", NO LESS. if you do, you have bigger issues to deal with my friend.
Well the guy went in with a combative attitude and his parents reciprocated. But of course, their mentality about homosexuality is that it is something to be hated, so instead of matching his attitude, they went all out and beat him.
I do feel sorry for the guy. No one deserves that kind of treatment from their parents. But I can't say that I find this shocking at all. Was he expecting to speak to them that way and have them agree with him? He was likely pushing their buttons because he knew they would reject him and wanted to make a scene for the camera. But perhaps he got more than he was expecting.
