I couldn't listen to the whole thing, maybe he forgot religion started wars?, he wants someone like the pope to be our American president, says government should be run by the church. He sounds sincere, but as usual, nutty as a fruitcake. This man and his ilk, will not survive the new age, he might as well stay in Uganda icon_rolleyes.gif

Again I ask, whom would you rather 'tell you what you can and cant do':
righteous religion, secular government or the "new people" known as corporations? They all want the same thing, power & control

For the "But but but he's a Democrat!" crowd...

    http://www.gothamgazette.com/index.php/government/5138-cabrera-conservative-credentials-klein-litmus-test-idc

Gotham GazetteCabrera is a conservative Democrat and pastor at New Life Outreach International. He has ties to the Family Research Council, which was recently labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center for insisting that gays and lesbians should be imprisoned. According to records from Westchester County and the New York City Board of Elections, Cabrera switched his registration from Republican to Democrat when he moved to the Bronx in 2007, yet continued to vote in the 2008 Republican presidential primary. Cabrera enjoys support from Sen. Ruben Diaz and from the conservative Democratic base in the Bronx that backs both legislators.

Being GOP as a pol and a voter might work just fine in Westchester. But over in the Blatino/Latino Boogie Down, you'd better at least claim you're a Dem, AND a religious freak of some stripe, if you want to continuously win elections.

Americans are the one's who taught the ugandans to be homophobic.

There's a great documentary called God Loves Uganda that chronicles this madness perfectly.

The hatred exhibited by some pious religious people is appalling. I am quite certain that God would not approve. In Alabama, a young woman has been repeatedly targeted with hatred for opposing religious displays on public property; there is an article about it in this months' magazine published by the organization Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, the director of which is an ordained minister. Here is a quotation from the magazine:

"On August 7, [Amamda] Scott [,an atheist,] again testified before the commission. She offered a proposal that would create a public forum in the Mobile Government Plaza, allowing other people or groups to put up their own messages [which would include messages by atheists and members of various religions, not just Christians]. That, too, was rejected by the board.

"For her effort to make everyone in the community to feel included, Scott has been rewarded with a steady stream of hate. Some of the vile comments left on her personal Facebook page were misogynistic. Others went so far as to include death wishes or suggestions that she commit suicide.

"The news site AL.com reported just a few examples, including: 'I hope that you go to Hell you filthy Atheist'; 'I think this lady is just trying to get some attention, because no guy wants to go out with her'; 'Whatever happened to stoning people in the city square?', and 'Get a rope.'".

As a long time member of Americans United... I am well aware that that sort of thing is very common. Many people who have worked to maintain the wall of separation of church and state have been subjected to considerable abuse, especially in the so-called Bible Belt states.

What these pious and vile people do not realize is that their actions cause people to turn away from organized religion. It causes people to leave churches. If they had any sense, they would understand that to attract people to religion and Christianity, they should set a good example of kind an loving behavior as exemplified by Jesus, but they are so blinded by their irrational and unChristian hatred that they do not realize that.

For more information, do a google search on "God lives Uganda". There is a DVD available that details how American fundamentalists caused Uganda to launch a hatred campaign against gay men and women.
