    "Heterosexuals get drunk and pregnant, producing unwanted children;

    their reward is to be allowed to marry.

    Homosexual couples do not produce unwanted children;

    their reward is to be denied the right to marry.

    Go figure."

    -- in Thursday’s ruling by 7th Circuit Judge Richard Posner, which struck down Indiana’s and Wisconsin’s gay marriage bans

    The beauty of this line is that it's part of the judge's official ruling. Blunt and True.

    From Wikipedia: Posner was identified by The Journal of Legal Studies as the most cited legal scholar of the 20th century.

    I read Judge Posner's entire ruling.
    It was golden, hitting on every ridiculous allegation from the haters, and striking down every single one of them, for lack of evidence.
    Beautiful !

    Most of President Ronald Reagan's judicial appointees are top notch. Posner's no conservative, though, and his opinions have increasingly leaned towards the libertarian wing of the GOP. In terms of intellectual rigor, the 7th Circuit is one of the strongest.

    Such as Scalia?…an intensely homophobic, misogynist, racist, xenophobe who has single handedly, I believe, done more harm to the causes of justice, fairness, peace, and equality than any other living American.

    Having met and spoken w/ Scalia several times, and read most of his opinions and understood their impact, I disagree. Nice collection of cliches, though, so keep at it!

    Xenophobic? That's why he struck down Arizona's stringent voter requirements, right?
