Is it worth finishing my Business Management degree?

I'm 24, and I still don't have my Bachelor's degree yet. I've attended a few different schools and changed my major a few times because I was unsure of what I really wanted to do. I originally wanted to be in the medical field (pharmacy to Physician Assistant school).

This semester, I decided to just say "fuck it" and I'm attending a local 4-year state college to get my Bachelor's in Business Management, since I already have quite a few business credits. I will probably graduate in Spring or Fall of 2016, depending on how many winter/summer classes I'm able to take.

The school is cheap, and only cost me $800 in tuition for this semester, so money isn't the issue (aside from the fact that I already have nearly $50K in student loan debt from my previous schools).

I've just been debating lately if I should forget about this business degree, and get my certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and work in a hospital/clinic and make real money? I know I can always pursue this option after I get my Bachelor's, but I don't want to waste any more time.

My current boss has said he will hopefully be able to give me a raise when I get my degree, but I doubt it will be anything compared to what I can make as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

Ultimately, if I did get into the sonography thing, I'd like to be the head of the department in a hospital one day, so the Bachelor's degree in Business could come in handy eventually. I just don't know if it's worth 2 years of my time right now, but I just want to finish SOMETHING already.

Yes, finishing something is better then having a whole workbench full of unfinished nothing.

Do you homework on the tradeoffs. Pick something and see it through.

The choice is ultimately up to you what to pick. Nobody can really help you with that choice.

My degree is a BSBA in Management with an HR track. It took me like 8 years to get a Bachelor's cause I kept changing my mind about what I wanted to study and where and taking semesters off. I've also racked up $30,000 in debt between one school and the one I graduated from. You're not the only one who takes time.

I would just finish the degree and then move onto something else.

My business degree helped me get a promotion. I went from hourly worker to a operation leader for a Fortune 500 company !

Yeah, I feel like I told myself I'm going to finish this and I should. I guess if I can't land a decent job after I graduate, I can pursue something else. I'll be in my late 20s though. icon_sad.gif
