Gay Pride- bothering me

So this started bothering me out of the blue.
Back in College (4 years ago), a straight guy told me he volunteers at gay pride (Montréal) not because he likes gay people, but to show the world how gay men are sick fucks. I didn't even know how to reply at the time, I was not out, I just had the urge to knock him out (But I am not violent- I did nothing). I'm really not sure why I am sharing, but fuck, it's bothering me so I figure for others to read it might make me feel a bit better. Makes me feel like gay pride has the opposite effect than intended sometimes?

He's almost definitely a homosexual. How would volunteering at a gay pride event demonstrate that gay people are "sick fucks"? He wants to participate without being identified as gay. Unfortunately it failed, because no homophobic straight guy would offer his time for free to help an event such as gay pride UNLESS ... *drum roll* he was gay himself.

He's a faggggg, but definitely not gay. He has a girlfriend now, and I think he's an idiot TBH (outside of this topic).

Edit: he might be gay and lying to her, I don't care enough to find out, I haven't spoken to him in 4 years.

THIS IS SOMETHING THE GAY COMMUNITY NEEDS TO ACCEPT... We go through very hard times morally speaking. In this particular case instead of shinning him on, realize he is going through pain. Doesn't mean he is gay or straight. It's just something similar to a red flower in a field of blue flowers. Let nature be what it is. Instead of judging him, recognize the unique color he brings to the universe. SUPPORT IT... We all have our own destination. Don't exlude him the same way you would not want him to exclude you.

He told me (He's a Russian Jew) that his people are God's chosen people. He already excluded 98% of the world.

Like I said, he is going through pain. Ethnocentricity is the worst pain of all. Give what you can and leave the rest behind.

In what way is he showing the world that gay men (it's never women with these types) are sick fucks?
