They seem like they have been turned off. Is that temporary?

Thought my computer was broke! Again!

I updated my browser the same day and thought that had something to do with it.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but this site is much better without the excessive embedded media. icon_cool.gif

Probably saves a lot of server space and admin headaches and money.

For the short term I like it - less spam/crap to wade through. Like foregoing electronics for a week, I don't miss it at all. For a month? Time will tell.

Now the only things embedded will be terrorist cells and internet trolls.

One feature I'd like to see here is the option to disable embedded media. Almost all real forum software has this capability. It shows a link instead of rendering the image/video. If you want to view the image or video, you just click on it.

This feature is great for people that don't have "unlimited" internet access in their country. Or are checking this site from a mobile device.

    Hi Guys,

We've temporarily turned off the ability to post embedded clips, URL & IMG buttons until the original HTML problem can be addressed & fixed this weekend.

Our technical person believes this is an easy fix!

    Thank you for your patience,

    Jeff

Or I should stay out of the music threads.

This problem should have been announced LAST weekend, when it started. And with its own thread, not a reply in someone else's thread. NOT good customer service! Or did I miss it?

No, I don't think you missed it. This is the first I heard of some official response.

Jeff could have let us know so we didn't waste a bunch of our time trying to make it work.

To Jeff in admin: Is there a way to be proacative in advising us instead of reactive? Saves time and for some, frustration.

Tried to start a new thread for embedded videos, they still don't show up after hitting the submit button icon_confused.gif
