fake photos obviously, you are pretty much stealing identity of another human being un using it for your own purposes and confusing other people

what the fuck are you even talking about ? if the pictures are fake the information applied to the person in the pictures is fake also

if you are fat an ugly, place a picture of a kitten or whatever, but don't steal other people pictures it makes you look pathetic and I think it is against the law

neither one is ok. If I found out either one was fake I'd have immmediate trust issues and wonder what else he's lying about. If I can't trust him, I don't want him. I've had a couple guys give conflicting information when I compared their profile and our online chats...end of friendship and chatting.

I only met one guy who had fake pics, early in my internet days. He drove over 100 miles to meet me. I told him to take his fat pic-stealing ass and leave. He cried as he drove off. icon_lol.gif

Lies are lies and not acceptable. I had one guy have fake pics and I wasted a long time talking to him. The waste was not in what he looked like, but that he was a liar. Some people post pics that are them, but are from a long time ago when they were young, or in shape. I know a lot of people lie about their age. I never do, even though I easily could, but I prefer to be honest.

I think I probably already know the answer but I'll ask it anyway.
To add on to the question of this thread of what is more unacceptable.
Having fake profiles/pictures, or having only one legitimate (that also being recent) picture of yourself and little to no information provided?

Maybe it depends on your purpose in being on the site what it is you're looking for?
Are fake profiles/pictures used more often for people who are trying to find a relationship/date or are they still even used for the 'social' aspect of online networking?

the only time I've ever "OK'd" fake profile info (pics are a no-no) was years ago when i was flirting with a guy who was an adult entertainer and had a "persona" that he carried over. I knew that some of it wasn't real and I'm pretty sure that he knew that I knew.

Now what REALLY pisses me off are guys who intentionally change their info so, I assume, guys using the "search" feature on websites can't find them that way. Look, if I'm a muscle chaser (which I am) I'm going to eventually come across your account. You can either snub me then or you can make it easy for me to find it so you can snub me NOW and I can get on with my shit. icon_cool.gif

    I wouldn't accept either.

    What's the point???

I have really never seen anyone that couldnt take a decent pic and really anyone can write a few lines...it ain't that hard. Easier than playing charades...

Neither, speaking from experience if you lie about yourself, even if you fess up later, it will not end well for you and didn't for the one that fessed up about a fake pic before we agreed to hang out as friends.

Fake photos - absolutely no chance in hell
Fake profile information - if you bogged up your hobbies to say something like you regularly play in a rock band when really you play Dungeons and Dragons, well that is ok. Fake age is also ok if it is because your birthday was less than 6 weeks ago and you haven't updated it yet. Otherwise no.
