I KNEW THERE WAS A WAY TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE icon_lol.gif

The Republican Side-Part Haircut - A Look at the Men's Hairstyles of the 2012 GOP Candidates
    http://luse.hubpages.com/hub/The-Republican-Side-Part-A-Look-at-the-Hairstyles-of-the-2012-GOP-Candidates

Whether your hair is thinning, or you've got a full head of hair, the "Republican Side-Part" is a doable and reliable image enhancer

    Question Regarding Republican Hairstyles.....
    http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x721597

Do all male Republican Senators and Congressmen use the same stylist? I know this is a silly question, but the ALL have the same look. It is really creepy. You know the look, parted on the side, that weird drooping bang that almost feathers over to the side and man, hair-sprayed to death. Yuck.

    icon_lol.gif

Repukes look like animated mannequins from the late seventies. There's something a bit stiff and outdated and ill-fitting about most of their suits. Not to offend, but a sort of JC Penney off the rack look. Really clean, but yucky.

One can nearly always tell just by looking if a Congressperson is Dem or Repuke. Dems generally have better style and are frankly, better looking.

Simple answer here. This hair style was extremely common in the 60s, for both kids and adults. It spilled over into the 70s with many who simply held onto it. Now it is an anachronism.

It seems natural enough that those who are anachronistic in their beliefs and outlook would hold on to such a hairstyle. And there is no one more anachronistic than current-day Republicans, particularly those of the extreme right. Hence bad hair and bad politics go together!

Oh, and for the dumb-jock Republicans around here:
    anach·ro·nism noun ə-ˈna-krə-ˌni-zəm
: a person or a thing that seems to belong to the past and not to fit in the present

Yes, you and scruff are so right! You on the other hand, in all your tattooed, self-mutilated splendor, are the very epitome of attractiveness.

SO, who, republican, should get the formal name for this men's haircut?

I nominate "the Newt", between young Newt and old Newt, not much hair, or anything else, has changed, here lies the key, for the true republican mantra, imagine all the money spent on hairspray, old spice deodorant and electric shave lotion used over the years icon_lol.gif

As far as media, conservative CNN political commentator Ben Ferguson takes second prize for his Newt cut, He graduated from Ole Miss in 2004, are all republicans overweight too? icon_lol.gif

I hate to break it to you but Congress is full of old, out of touch, rich men. They don't care about you. They care about getting and keeping power. The only difference is the pander to a different social agenda at election time. The majority of both parties don't give a shit about gay rights or abortion. They care about helping the other people they know who are even richer screw over the rest of us. That's why big agra, big pharmacy and big banks keep getting bigger.

Moderate? In comparison to who? Hitler? He was all about Paul Ryans Path to Prosperity plan. You know the one where medicare gets turned into a voucher program.

He appears to be a very attractive and intelligent man something that is in very seriously short supply in the GOP these days. I hope that he doesn't vote in lockstep with all the NARROW MINDED BIBLE THUMPING SCREWBALLS.

    Thank you +2

This is why it is time to evict both the democratic and republican parties from the halls of American governance from the federal level all the way down to the local level. These miserable, crooked bastards are only out for their own self aggrandizement.

The hapless Hillary ho is definitely no morning glory. Not only does she have a violent temper and a foul mouth, she is one homely, aging bitch. Lets hope that the democrats are smart enough not to nominate her as Presidential candidate in 2016.

No I'm just a guy who with, a lot of other guys on here, probably thinks this is the WORST TOPIC EVER to try to garner attention with. Would rather watch cactus grow in my backyard...now excuse me, I think one just shot up .0000001 inches and I have to tear myself away from here...but don't worry, i'll work on my hair for ya since thinking about that gives you a chubby.

"If you don't like the program, change the channel." Go read some moronic thread that you DO like and quit polluting this one!

First, don't forget Tucker "Bowtie" Carlson in a dorky haircut thread:

    tucker-carlson.png

Honestly, Repubs comes off as smug, elitist, self-satisfied jerks when they smile. Conversely, when a Dem smiles it feels hip and swagged out, as if the person has his/her pulse on the nation and--though they are self-aware enough to know they're a dorky politician--are playing along. I can't put my finger on it, but that dynamic exists too.

Case in point...who is Repub and who is Dem? Who comes off as cool and who comes off as a smug turd in the punch bowl?
