The Advantage of Global Warming :-)

With heat on the increase it seems some parts of the world have withdrawn from the trend and are heading along nicely on their own path. In July of this year we had snowfall in Valais down to 6000 feet, something that should not occur in these days of global warming. Now, as we move out of September and into October, the ski season is picking up steam earlier than in previous years at elevations whose season typically begins later in the year.

    Hooray for global warming!!

We've had a very cool summer this year. Normally in August and September it's in the 90s most of the time. This year it's been in the low to mid 80s.

Hopefully I'll be dead, six feet under, and pushing up daisies before things get really ugly.

If global warming means no more long, bitterly cold, snowy winters like the last one we had up here in the northeastern US, than I am all for it. This past winter was extremely brutal and extended from mid November to mid April. So if that is the case, than lets burn more soft coal. We got to get this global warming goingicon_lol.gif

It will mean even colder winters than the one you mentioned, and in some places where a lot of food comes from, scorching, and drought.

I see SB STILL hasn't figured out why the arctic ice is disappearing and Antarctica's is building up. lol!

I thought that Antarctica's ice cap was melting and disappearing along with Greenland's which is fueling fears about rapidly rising sea levels worldwide.

It's predicted that this coming winter is supposed to be just as bad or worse than the previous one.

Oh shit, we don't need another long, brutally cold, icy winter. They haven't repaired all the road damage from this previous winter, how is our infrastructure going to hold up to another long, horribly frigid wintericon_question.gif

To be honest, I just want another ice-age.

    That'd be cool. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif
