How would you spend it and what is the one thing you will make sure to complete before departing?

I would ask myself what I'll be doing in the next 5 years.

Depends on how strong I was and if my parents are still alive. If my parents weren't alive anymore I would go down to my favorite hiding place up the street in Balboa where the theres this jetty that goes way out into the ocean. I use to hike all the way out to the end of it which of course you have to remember it is all rocks so it is no easy task. I would sit there and reflect. In fact, I know I have to get healthy soon because I want to do that again it has been so many years. I can turn my head to the left and see all the boats souring in and out and I can turn to the right and see all these surfers, skim boarders, and body borders having a great time. Along the beaten path of climbing over rocks I will see fishermen. Such a peaceful place. Hell I might just sit there until the moment I die and let the waves just wash me away. That is the way I would want to go.

If it was a year, I'd just do the same old until the last couple of months and then just say goodbye to everyone and then die.
If it was a day, I'd just do what I want for the first half of the morning, then play with my dog heaps and then the last 4-6 hours or so just try and say goodbye to everyone and then die.

Prior to dying I'd just tell my family to not bother spending money on a funeral or a funeral service. Just pick an okay spot in a graveyard and bury me and then they can continue on the rest of their day doing whatever and then generally in life as well.
I'd tell them they don't even have to visit because obviously I wouldn't even know and they might as well spend their time doing better things than talk to the stone placed at the head of my burial place.

Yeah I'd pretty much want my family to just chill.

If it was a year Id hatch an elaborate plan to assassinate the Rothchild and Monsanto families, id also bomb a couple of laboratories that were experimenting on animals and torture the scientists.

If it was one day id probably assassinate the australian prime minister if I could get to him on time, if not id probably throw a huge party.

Well I can't decide whether I would try to live the last year peacefully or just party it up and not give a damn about the consequences.

Try to find out which religion has the real one and only true god, and convert, assuming there is one.

Assuming you meant a year, I would try to travel to all the countries I am most interested in. Now, assuming you meant a day to live, I have no idea. Maybe eat a lot and not worry about getting flabby.

This is not so easy to answer. One day left to live? By that time one is either to ill to do anything, or if one's life is going to be ended by others one would be in captivity. If by one's own hand, one is probably in such a low mental state that one is in no mood to think clearly anyway. I cannot see any joy out of this.

If I only had a day left I would max out all my credit cards and empty my back accounts having a good time.

If I had a year I'd do the same thing only at a more deliberate pace.

You can't take it with you so you might as well enjoy it and leave the creditors holding the bag.

A more practical question would be, if you have one life to live, how would you spend it?

I'd spend it on ice cream and cookies.

Oh what an awesome question you ask here! You are intelligent and awesome to even think of such a question. Hmmmm, I'm pretty sure my last day of life would involve: first, having an great dinner at the beach, or at my granddaddy's home with all of my family. Next, I would spend the time finding all of the people who helped me survive this life and be successful and thank them. Then I would spend the rest of the day making love to my lover and spoiling him or her giving him or her anything and everything he/she wanted just because he/she brought some joy in to my life before my death which I have never got to experience so far in my life. And then at midnight as life is about to leave my body, I would want my African Traditional religious priest to be there by my bedside making sure that my journey to the next world was a peaceful one and that my ancestors would meet me as I come. Oh yes, I would also like Jesus to be there too, lol. Not a Christian priest or minister or anything, but Jesus' spirit and presence himself because I may not fully understand it, but I think he did some very important stuff for us humans regarding the next life that we don't fully understand. I think I'm gonna cut and paste this thread because I've never really thought about it before in these terms. Thanks brother.

Based on what I read here from your post, this guy's question just pointed you in the direction of something you should want to live to make sure you get to experience again. This place you talk about, the jetty near the water, sounds awesome. I would want to experience it myself before I die if it's as peaceful, awesome, and beautiful as you describe it here. Very nice answer to this post question that you gave here. I want to visit this place you speak of.
