YOU look at Carl Edwards. In something other than all caps.

You've been on this site for over 6 years, have made 6 posts to date, and you suddenly burst out with this???

Must be some good stuff, that you should tell us about. icon_rolleyes.gif

Because it's the last great vestige of homophobia in the US sporting scene. I used to work at NOLA Motorsports Park here and I experienced it firsthand. I still want to build a BTCC-type P80 wagon and paint it in rainbow livery, just to shake things up a bit, hehh

Whatdoyamean there isn't? I post about cars as often as I can plus attend/participate in events as often as possible.

Plus, did the almost five hour drive to Stanton, MI for the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drags just last weekend.

I didn't race because both of my pure stockers are out in SoCal and the one I have back here in Columbus isn't quite stock enough

(look at those old Studebakers go)

And I would certainly run this if I had the money and time.

Not much I like more than circa 1960 - 1970 vintage Nascar

And if you're in Sandusky, you're close enough to Norwalk, Nelson Ledges and Mid Ohio. Don't you go to any of those events? And I was also in the Crowbar that Saturday night.

And dude, btw, cool it with the cap lock.

Because it is one sport that is not commonplace in the arrogant, overpriced coastal cities and gayborhoods so most of these big city and coast huggers refuse to leave their comfortable urban confines. Becoming a fan of auto racing would require them to travel and discover the "real America" which is the great American interior.

Some good drag in the NE though at Cecil County, 75-80 Dragway, Old Bridge, ATCO, Lebanon Valley, English Town, Richmond, MIR, etc. Low elevation and real good air this time of the year so those drag queens can breathe!

Can't figure out why on earth your garden variety homosexual wouldn't want to go to MUSCLEpalooza? Do you know?

Not necessarily. Are you forgetting southern Cali? Let's not limit the scope of "Motorsports " to stock car racing and dirt ovals? There are far more civilized and monied forms out there in easily-accessible areas to the gay community

Not at all. True, when you're looking at number of miles to willow Springs and Buttonwillow, it doesn't look so bad until you factor in travel time and then it becomes not worth it, and doubt it would be even for homosexuals in miatas.

And then the next closest is spring mountain and then Phoenix followed by Laguna Seca and then Sears Point and then PIR.

And also true that there are Miata sized Solo IIs at Qualcom stadium in SD and ones at Hollywood Park in LA County.

Nice thing is that in SoCal you don't have to schedule rain dates for the obvious reason and here, although we have more events and closer tracks here in the midwest, you run 50 - 50 chance of a rain out.

Because people here aren't interested in sports -- they're interested in games. Like baseball, for instance.
    It's not a sport, it's a game. Sports involve real, life-threatening danger.

If the participants used their bodies to generate the power instead of using an engine, perhaps there would be more interest.
