Paris or London?

Currently thinking about grad school, I've decided to check out schools in Paris and London.
Both cities sound attractive and fun so I can't really choose which one. I master both languages perfectly so that's not really an issue.
What I like about Paris is its beauty, the food, the culture but I don't know if the city is international enough for me to meet other people and not just Parisians.
Concerning London, I feel like it's much more expensive but yet the crowd is more international and I'll maybe have more opportunities career wise.
    Your input?

From an academic perspective, depends on what you want to get yours masters in. Or I could be wrong. By your post, it sounds London would be a good choice since you feel more opportunities will be there for you. When you do make it, maybe you'll have time to visit Paris as well.

Hummm... I see what you mean. But I don't know, Paris is just so beautiful at the same time, haha.

Why would you limit your graduate studies to two cities?

You may be surprised to find out that the University of Hong Kong is in the top 20 best universities in the world.
Whereas, lemme think... University of Uruguay is what, 500th best? LOL.
Latin America = uneducated. You're the perfect example, you didnt attend studies. At 16 you started drinking beer and playing guitar in sad, pathetic bars icon_smile.gif

London is quite expensive for students. It is a great city though. These articles may help:

    http://www.theguardian.com/education/mortarboard/2014/may/14/london-really-the-best-for-students

    http://www.theguardian.com/education/2014/sep/27/survive-london-university

Do bear in mind that, from a gay man's perspective, London may be more suitable than other cities, as it has a relatively large gay population.

well, just worry about your career.

i'm pretty sure with that attitude you'll have trouble making friends anywhere you go.

plus you don't exactly look like cristiano ronaldo, if you no what i mean.

sorry to break it to you.

lost my virginity about 15 years ago. i'm not proud of it really. i don't really measure a person's value by their ability to have sex.

but if by saying i look like a virgin, you mean i look younger than i am. thanks!

i just checked my weight 2 days ago & considering my height i'm in the norm.

but hey at least i'm not afraid of taking my shirt off.

i'm not encouraging you tho. please don't do that. i don't think anyone is ready for such fugly sight.

Out of the 2 you mentioned I would say Paris. I did a foreign exchange program in France when I was in high school and loved it. Very beautiful and lots of culture. Also there are lots of foreign students as well so no worries about making friends.

I can't say much about Paris but London does have very good, prestigious schools and the city is very international so may be a better choice given the career opportunities it may create.

You CANNOT go wrong either way. My thoughts:

    London:
    More "international" (tourists/businessmen/etc.)
The dominant European country for finance, business, international legal, and commodities industries.
More visibly and larger LGBT community.

    Paris:
More "culture" and less gentrification (more embracing of older villages and architecture, kind of like Chelsea and SoHo before gentrification).
    Better art
Dominant European country for fashion (Italy a close second).
Definite gay community, but not as visible or large.
Fewer tourists/businessmen, and less "international" in that sense.
    Far superior cuisine

At the end of the day, they're both amazing. So long as language is no barrier, flip a coin and have fun. And if you flip the coin, and then want to do 2 out of 3, then you'll find out which city you wanted all along. I flip coins all the time. I don't follow what comes up. I see if I'm happy with the side that came up, or if I all of a sudden want to do 2 out of 3, or 3 out of 5. Then by deduction I know what I truly wanted deep down.

    Have fun:

As a tourist, or for a place to live, I might prefer Paris. But as for education - that involves totally different criteria.

Well, man without a profile - perhaps you should consider the educational systems of both countries, as well as the educational programs at the specific universities you are considering, and especially the programs and assistance you might receive in your prospective departments at those universities. I haven't studied in either country, but know enough about both to realize that their academic institutions are quite different.

I've been to London and Paris. I love Paris! The Parisians are very nice. Not rude like many have rumored. You can take EuroTrain to London in 2 hours, French Riviera in 4 hours.

Well I'm guessing you're being funded so ask your parents who would never allow you to enter sad pathetic bars.
