    You lost me at "juiciest."

My dirty little mind just wandered off into the gutter.

If you are the "juiciest" I will learn to love you.

She's talking about envy. Some people are just jealous that others are more interesting and popular than them. Evidence of that is how dudes here say they hey hate X members but never put them on ignore. If you have between 2 to maybe 7 people that hate, they just hate you. If you have like more than 20 people hating on you, it clearly means you're an asshole.

A lot of life is a numbers game. Relationships are chemistry.

    Thai Basil Tofu is delicious.

So is a lemon meringue pie.

But you wouldn't serve basil tofu over meringue pie.

So it isn't always a value judgment. Simply that sometimes the numbers don't play. Sometimes the chemistry doesn't work.

What's funny is how some folks here think they are juicy peaches when they are just dry raisins. icon_lol.gif

One of the best things I've ever learned:

What other people think of me is none of my business.

I can love myself and be good to those around me and that is more than enough.

lol I've been called every kind of bitch, asshole, jerk, slut, etc...in the book....but the question is do I care? icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

Let's put it this way, if someone has the time and energy to think of an insult to attach to MY name, that was time veryyyyy well spent on their behalf! icon_lol.gif

I think raisins are an even better example....such a polarising food ...many people hates raisins some people cant cook without putting them in almost everything....I could not eat my morning oats without raisins ! ok sometimes craisins though they are even more sour !

I have the opposite problem right now. I am in a volunteer work situation with someone whose every utterance makes my head want to explode. I am seriously considering resignation just to get away from her.

To me there's a difference between who I am, versus what I've done. I'm fairly confident & comfortable about who I am, so when someone doesn't like me I can chalk that up to their personal preferences. Certainly their right & privilege, nothing says they must like me.

But I might have a nagging concern that I did or said something offensive & unwarranted, that I should not have and did not intend. And that can bother me. I guess I'm more concerned about my own possible bad manners than their preexisting likes or dislikes.

I've also found that I tend to make a poor first impression on many people. But it can improve with time, something of an "acquired taste". So I've also learned to be patient with people if they don't immediately like me, because I know it often can change to a more favorable view over time. And I'm frequently that way with them myself, a bit tentative & apprehensive with strangers.

    True.

But I'd settle for someone liking me.
