People traveling from Africa to the USA should be quarantined for an appropriate amount of time before being allowed to travel to the USA.

Some woman on NPR said we'd never have an outbreak because the CDC would be quick to contain it. She must have forgotten--the U.S. always botches things up. Case in point:

The person from Dallas went into the hospital on Sept. 26, but was sent home (to be in contact with more people). Then he or she returned sicker on Sept. 28 and was confirmed as Ebola.

My prediction: It will hit the U.S. around this coming cold and flu season and a TON of people will be going to the emergency room to see if they have it. It's a real-life movie.

Meh, the ERs might see a spike in cases of self-suspected Ebola, but they'll set up a special triage/closet area to handle those freaks SO nobody will want to come in with suspected Ebola because (1) you won't be prioritized and (2) if you didn't have it before you wentt into the ER "Ebola suspected cases" corral, you sure as heck have it afterwards.

ER trips are self-regulating like that. When it gets so bad, you don't want to expose yourself.

Here's the latest synopsis from today's WSJournal:

Love him or hate him, TX Governor Rick Perry is showing much more attention to this life-or-death matter - I've a sister, cool brother-in-law, and two great nieces in Houston - than is Obama, per this piece from the similarly steadily regaining credibility Washington Post:

LMAO, "all hands on deck" Governor Perry has allowed 4 individuals to stay in an Ebola contaminated apartment with soiled towels and sheets (sweat, diahrrea, blood) for 4 days since it confirmed Ebola in Duncan.

Yea, Perry really has this situation under control. LMAO.

Your straw men gained a new conscript I see. I never said Perry has Ebola "under control;" just that he's showing more attention to it than Obama is. And, as the WaPo article indicates, others recognize this as well. So, keep laughing; I'll keep reading - and reporting - the facts.

I would feel more comfortable with the CDC making sure that the one case is 'under control' than the President, Congress, or Rick Perry.
