As a gay guy, how important for you are nice things like clothes sunglasses, watches and jewellery ? Is it important to you what you wear and how much are you willing to spend?

What is the most valuable and fancy thing you own?

I like my ed hardy sneakers which I have like 10 pairs and probably the most fancy thing I have is a watch with 8 diamonds which usually is somewhere thrown like under the bed or abused in my bag or sometimes on my wrist

I buy what I like not what designers like. I prefer quality over brand name. However I have Ed Hardy T-shirts, a Calvin Klein suit, Hugo Boss shoes, Armani sunglasses.. The most valuable was a watch but I would never buy it again, it was about 5000USD. I had lots of money back then and haven't even looked at its price tag, I just saw it, wanted it and bought it. It was way to fancy for me so I barely wore it and gave it to my best friend as a wedding gift.
These days usually I go to H&M or these kinda shops. I don't really care any more. But I always buy my undies from aussieBum icon_redface.gif
I guess cars and houses are off the list.

I have some nice clothes and fashion accessories which I have collected over the years, notably my many pairs of Diesel jeans, Raybans (hardly worn) and a gorgeous John Varvatos scarf which I bought from Bloomingdales.

I'm not one for expensive clothes and designer labels really. Would much rather save money these days.

I had some expensive sunglasses once. They broke after about the same amount of time as the cheap ones wear out.

I don't want to sound like a cunny but ed hardy is the most ugliest trash brand Ive ever seen and have always wondered why people pay so much money for his shit name to be smeared on their clothes.

I like buying from op shops but I did fork out last winter for a german police jacket I got from the army disposals. Its nothing fancy but does the trick.

I like tattoos but probably I will never have any. That's why I like Ed Hardy. If not on my skin than on my T-shirts, shoes etc.

Jewelry? A simple wedding band is as far as I'd go with that. For the other stuff, whatever is practical and is made to last. Nothing flashy or too colorful.

The only expensive item a man is allowed to show off and that demonstrates his taste is a watch.

    Rolex, Longines and Breitling.

I always buy the large ones, I have dozens right next to my front door. I can be so happy when I find one I totally forgot about.
But wait. Why at the airport?

convenience, In my every day life I do not bother to go to a perfume shop and spend time looking for a perfume, I am not a big fan of actual shopping, cannot say I do it often, but at the airport I just have to look around while waiting for the plain, plus there is range what you can choose and the prices are lower, so all that just makes me buy something often

just looked up rolexes to see how much they cost and my mouth hits the floor. And then it dawns on me that there are people in the world who own these watches….

I meant an item that you wear. But I agree for the cars.
As for shoes, of course a nice pair of shoes is demonstrative of the person's taste. What I meant is that a watch is usually the only item for which one will spend more than 1000 dollars on. Expensive shoes usually don't go beyond 700$ for men whereas watches can go up to 20 000$.

It depends on how someone defines "nice things." For me, it's all about quality versus items people think are quality because of an elevated price. For me, the most valuable item I own is my MacBook.

While some people think Apple products are crap, I think they're wonderful. I've had my MacBook for 3 years and have never had a problem with it nor my iPad and iPhone. As opposed to the piece of shit Dell computer that broke 1 year after purchasing it.

All of the Dells I had at work have lasted many years. Some were servers, some on my desk. At home I build my own pc.

Apple products are not crap. But they most definitely are over-hyped and overpriced. And very well marketed.
