Has anyone ever stopped j/o completely who used to j/o a lot? What did they do.....secret of success?
To those who j/o obsessively (like 6 time in a day), what are the things that prompt you?
And what is the average frequency of j/o. You are free to share your own personal experience. Personally, I have moved back and forth on this.
I know there are many questions, please those who are not comfortable just let it go. Thanks

What an elaborate account of events. You are a genious to have remembered those dates.

The only thing I remember clearly is that I have never jerked off in the last 12 days or so and for me its like forever.

It seems you have gone for months without wanking yet you still relapsed.

    Thanks for sharing.

Willpower. Not much of a secret.

Although I doubt any boy on this planet has passed through adolescence without ever playing with himself; unless they were mentally ill.
I have no doubt even nutters like Hitler jacked their willie when they were young.

I dunno. But aside from some perverted religious, philosophical, or erroneous medical beliefs, why should a boy NOT jerk off as he enters sexual maturity? It's healthy, normal, and it prepares him for adulthood.

My own first orgasms happened when I was 11, shimmying up trees, of all things. I spent my summers playing in the woods, where I was most at home, using my knives and pocket saws to build forts there, doing stuff that would terrify most parents today. Plus fishing, boating on the river, camping out, and taking long bicycle trips, all on my own, or with a few friends.

And while exerting myself climbing trees, my crotch jammed up against the tree trunk, I began to feel this great sensation. I had no idea what was happening. But I liked it. And I actually began to get dry orgasms this way.

So back home, not yet knowing about jerking off by hand, I replicated that sensation face-down on my bed. Sometimes looking at art pics of nude men from books in our home encyclopedia. We didn't have the internet 55 years ago.

Until one day I felt wetness in my shorts. I think I was 12. My first ejaculation! But I panicked, I didn't know what it was, all this white mess, I thought I had damaged something inside me.

So I immediately went to our library and got out the family medical book, and began to figure it out. And by then I'd heard from other boys about hand jobs and jerking off. So I tried that. Much better than grinding my crotch into my bed.

I began to wank every day, once I got the hang of it. Often when I got home from school, because I was so stressed (I hated school), it relaxed me very much. And again before bedtime, it would help me to sleep. And again when I woke up, because I already had a boner, so why waste it?

I simply can't understand this opposition here to what males were evolved to do. I still haven't heard a convincing, supportable medical reason for unnatural abstinence. On the contrary, I can think of a number of reasons why it is physically harmful. Having wet dreams should alert you to what your body is trying to tell you. DUH!

Due to a mix of various perverted religious, philosophical, and erroneous medical beliefs, I made it through most of my adolescence (until about the age of 20) without jerking off. I think it's safe to say it stunted my emotional and social development (and I'm pretty sure it wasn't good for me physically either).

The chaining of a boy to a St. Andrews cross at night during unattended sleep periods beginning at about the age of 11 or 12 is a good start. There are now elaborate "chastity cages" which are available and which lock around the waist and also anchor inside the anus. Both of these simple devices can effectively prevent unauthorized moistening of the nether-parts and works well for both unattended and less than fully attended periods of wake state activity.

With correct parental and other authoritative adult supervision, the adolescent can be physically prevented from masturbation until the child becomes a legal adult.

So widespread was this mostly-religious obsession in the US with preventing male masturbation that it's actually a major reason why circumcision became a fairly standard practice in hospital births in the early 1900s. That's not seen elsewhere in the world today, except for religious reasons among Jews & Muslims. The goal in the Puritanical US was to make masturbation less easy and pleasurable. Hygiene concerns were secondary, and exaggerated as an additional justification.

Do you know that coarse woolen mittens were marketed in the late 1800s, for boys to wear in bed at night? With pins or clips to hold them fast against their blankets or pajama tops? With the purpose of preventing boys from "touching themselves". Horrors!

The US has a long history of neurotic & irrational behavior about male masturbation. Most of us have heard how respected doctors guaranteed that masturbation would result in maladies such as madness, homosexuality, lethargy, physical weakness, career failure, mental decline, dissipation, impotence, loss of the "life force", the list ran for pages.

And that tradition continues today. The Catholic Church and other religions still preach against it. And so it disturbs me when I see young guys here also preaching total abstinence as therapy. It ain't nothing of the kind for a man. It is counter to Nature, and very likely a health risk. But this is what happens when religion or misguided philosophy take precedence over proven science.

I still say that chains (eye-hooked, locked, and mounted to a sturdy wooden St. Andrews cross) are much more effective than pins or clips.
