Is dating in other countries where homosexuality is legal, like France, Japan, the Philippines, UK, Canada or any others better than dating in the United States because I think the US is one of the worst countries to date in so far. Too racist, shallow, and ignorant. If you are black and tried to date in other countries was the overall experience better than the "American Dating Experience" as I call it?

I'd like to date in Japan. Not because of anything you mentioned, but because of the cuisine.

I live in Uruguay (South America): gay laws, marriage and adoptions are legal and celebrated. We were actually one of the first countries to have a monument honoring gay people.
Most people here are the same race (white) and the few black act the same anyways so there are no fights or racism like it happens in USA.
However I think the gays over here are overly crazy/dramatic/flamboyant, I went to gay bars twice so i know. Gays use Grindr mostly, when I was single for a short period of time I tried it just to see how it was, and discovered this is the easiest way to have a fuck right away, to me thats disgusting so never went ahead. So in my experience the only 2 types of gays over here are: overly femenine/crazy or sluts. BTW the first guy i ever talked to on Grinr told me that if i wore football shoes and hit him for real, drawing blood, he would give me $100. not sex, not anything, just me beating the hell out of him, I rejected his proposal but thats the kind of people you get on Grindr)

It's not like that at all in the UK. We're generally laid back and not hung up on race. I'd even go as far as to say that men on Grindr in my area are way too easy. The scene in my city is typical of everywhere though, but again race isn't at all important.

Oh by the way, I should't have never replied!
Since you said you want to know how it is in NON-AMERICAN countries, and Uruguay just like other 34 countries are part of America dumbo. Your country is called United Stated OF America for a reason. Learn the difference. Not our fault your country doesn't have a proper name.

I guess this thread is specially directed towards Black guys.
As a non-white guy, I do hear lot more about racial issues from Northern America in comparison to what I see here in Europe (countries where gays have more legal rights).
I have quite often seen the cliched NO ASIANS in comparison to NO BLACKS, which I don't remember seeing on any profiles.
Either people don't have as much predujices against Blacks or they don't put it on their profile for being not called out as racist, I can't really say.

I think you'll find shallow retards all over the globe, but I can imagine it happen more in the US than in other countries mainly because there is a higher acceptance rate for homosexuality -> more people on the market -> which leads to picky douche bags. A straight guy wouldn't explicitly discriminate a girl for being black but rather refuse her politely while guys also tend to be meaner to each other sometimes.

In my country where a date with your boyfriends has to be as romantic as two straight friends going out, with zero public signs of affection if you don't want to get in trouble. However the Grindr/Online selection isn't that racist. But that doesn't mean that there are no picky douchebags that ignore you if you're not straight out of a magazine and then drunk text you at night desperate for sex.

Of course we can always blame external factors and blame others when we are not successful in dating eh? And it is always better somewhere where we are not present, eh.

I think North American experience was the best one for me. Not that I dated any white guys and not that I lived in Europe, but still.

Having lived in both in the US and in Europe for a while, I honestly do not see any major difference.

Metropolitan cities are far more liberal than the country.

Gay guys tend to be relatively color blind when it comes to your daily NSA play. When it comes to dating, guys tend to be more picky.

We may label this attitude "racist", "ageist" or whatever we want. But we all know that it is really there as a trend, and not as an absolute rule which applies to everyone.

People of both sexes simply tend to be restrictive when it comes to investing their time, money and energy into a budding relationship. Blame them all you want, this ain't gonna change anytime soon...

I have to agree. When I visited London earlier this year I was overwhelmed on Grindr and Tinder by the number of responses I got from people and most if not all were white guys. I never got that kind of attention in DC. I wish I could move there..I definitely would!
