"Nevertheless, respectful coexistence is possible with those with differing values. As far as the civil law is concerned, the courts have spoken. Church leaders will continue to encourage our people to be persons of good will toward all, rejecting persecution of any kind based on race, ethnicity, religious belief or non-belief, and differences in sexual orientation."
How stupidly self-centered for them to think that we'd have any intention of respecting that they consider us an abomination--even if just within their slimy institution wherein, sadly but unavoidably, children of our orientation are born--held unworthy by their own mothers of being endowed with all the human rights & dignities they there enjoy themselves and make available to their heterosexual children alone.
That they don't even consider whether or not we respect them isn't quite respectful coexistence. To be respectful coexistence, they'd have to actually acknowledge that we are as human as they consider themselves to be, in every aspect of life.
How's this for mutual respect: Hey Mormons, go fuck yourselves.
